This tour takes you away from artificial lights to a peaceful, open spot on the edge of a vast, frozen lake. With a wide horizon and clear views, this location offers an excellent chance to observe the northern sky, where—if you’re lucky—the Aurora Borealis may begin to dance above. While the Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon, our experienced guide will select the best viewing spot based on that night’s conditions to maximize your chances. During the evening, your guide will also share fascinating facts about the Aurora Borealis—how it forms, when it appears, and the science and legends behind this incredible display. Whether the sky stays calm or bursts into color, the atmosphere remains magical. As you wait, enjoy the warmth of a cozy campfire and sip a hot drink. Surrounded by crisp Arctic air and peaceful silence, you’ll find a rare sense of calm that invites a deep connection to nature.

Operated in Rovaniemi each year in Autumn (weather permitting). The minimum number of participants for each activity is 2 adults. Single traveller could join an existing group, or choose to pay for 2 adults' price.

The Northern Lights is an unpredictable natural phenomenon that there is no guarantee of seeing it. However, we will try the best to increase the chance of seeing it.

Duration includes the transfer time for all the group members. The pick-up service is included from the listed locations. If your hotel or location is not listed among the pickup points, please contact us (the supplier) or the platform to check availability.

Failure to participate in the safari due to missed meeting time or meeting point will not be refunded.

Please let us know in advance if you have special dietary requirements. (Eg: vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.)

Deeper into the arctic circle your guide will camp at one of our various lookout locations with the highest possibility of having a clear sky with a panoramic view. There, search in comfort as your guide prepares a campfire to cook a typical delicious Lappish BBQ of sausage with hot berry juice.

We booked the Northern Lights tour, which was very well organised. Special thanks to Andres, our guide. Nice, not intrusive but attentive and helpful. He taught us how to take beautiful photos with our phones, despite there was low solar activity. Nice experience!

tour guide was well organized and knowledgeable. I wish there would be a veggie option for the BBQ. Over all OK, even though we could not see the northern lights.

Andres was so warm and welcoming to Finland and very knowledgable. He took us on a wonderful tour where we stopped at 3 destinations to look for the lights. Sadly the weather and cloud coverage was not on our side but Andres was very accomodating and effortful in helping us find a location to avoid the clouds for a chance to see the lights. Would definitely use Andres again and hopefully next time the weather is cooperative!

Thank you to our guide Luidgi and his entire team for being able to introduce us to the Northern Lights in the great outdoors! He was able to answer our questions and guide us to better understand them. We were able to enjoy a meal by the fire eating sausages and marshmallows, a very friendly and warm moment of sharing! 🙏 Thank you luidgi ☺️

The trip was amazing. My babies and I had a great experience. FER, our guide is a kindly person, he helped us each moment, played with my babies, and did the experience was magical. It is 100% a good recomendation. Ariadna from mexico
