You can count on many years of The Green Adventure Team experience, local knowledge and the finest photography. On the evening of the tour we will pick you up in front of Scandic Ishavshotel and set off on a comfortable journey in our minibus. In the minibus our expedition leader will do a small introduction about weather conditions, possibilities to see the lights and selected locations. We always work as a team, so we are in contact with other Aurora hunters to increase our chances.
Once we find the right place under the clear skies, we will get ready for the show. We will also set up a bonfire, that's the perfect time to warm up with a cup of hot drink and also roast some sweet marshmallows. By the time we will tell you some interesting stories from the north and legends about lady Aurora. Also you will have a chance to try "made in Tromso" soup, which is tailored for arctic expeditions. After the tour you will receive photos from our expedition leader.

A current valid passport is required on the day of travel as we may travel into Finland

Vegetarian and vegan option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. Also inform about allergies.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age 12 years old.
Be aware that access to proper toilets in Norwegian wilderness is very limited, sometimes even impossible. We highly recommend to use any toilet before a tour, because in many spots we don't have access to toilets during winter time.
Please inform us also about your thermal suit sizes (the same like your winter jacket), so we will make sure that we have proper size ready for you on board.
Tour is not suitable for cruise ship passengers, which are not staying overnight in Tromso. We do not guarantee that we will be back before cruise's departure as our priority is to see the northern lights. Contact us to organize private tour as an alternative

5.00The green adventure where our Aurora saviours. Our original tour did not show up and they very kindly adjusted things to accommodate us at the very last minute. Wow what an amazing service and so friendly. Of course the ultimate was to experience the Aurora even if only fleeting (less then ten minutes) but it was truly amazing nature at its best provided by the the green adventure. Thanks

5.00We had a brilliant trip on New Year’s Day evening with The Green Adventure crew, and specifically JJ. The trip is as advertised and JJ did everything in his power to find the elusive lights for us , which he did ! There are no negatives to this trip , and would not hesitate to recommend this company and if we are to return to Tromso we would definitely book this trip again. Thank you for making our first ever northern lights sighting so memorable

5.00Our host Jessica welcomed us warmly and was very welcomed. We drove 1 1/2 hour before we stopped and then there was northern light for almost 4 hours. Good professional photos, educational information about the emergence of the northern lights from Jessica and a nice fire in the shade of the northern lights, made the experience recommendable. Thank you to Jessica for finding the perfect place to see the Northern Lights.

5.00We booked a private tour with The Green Adventure and it could not have been any better. Great communication beforehand from Robert who was always quick to reply with any questions we had. Our tour guide was JJ who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Northern Lights. JJ also took pictures throughout the night of the lights and of me and my partner. The pictures were great and I cannot thank him enough. 10/10 would recommend this company

5.00We went Northern Lights hunting with The Green Adventure, and it was an outstanding experience. Our guide, Jess, was extremely knowledgeable and well-prepared. She knew exactly where to go to find clear skies. The drive was more than two hours with several stops at proven viewing spots, and we eventually set up camp just before the Finnish border. Perfect timing — we were treated to a breathtaking Northern Lights show for the next 2–3 hours. Dancing lights, shifting colors — everything you could hope for. Jess constantly worked to entertain us and make sure everyone felt comfortable. She built a fire, served warm soup, and we even roasted marshmallows. It created such a cozy atmosphere in the freezing night. For me, the only downside was that the tour felt a bit long; we returned to the hotel around 2:30 a.m., and we could have headed back a little earlier. Still, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this company to anyone who genuinely wants to see the Aurora. Highly recommended!

5.00Antonio was our guide for the evening and he was absolutely fantastic — very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and determined to get us to a spot where we’d see the aurora, even on a very cloudy night where we were racing against the weather. Antonio knew exactly where to go and we headed about an hour and a half south onto the mainland and then as far north as we could go there to a little clearing in a forest that he knew about. Lovely to be part of a small group in a minibus too, rather than a big coach, and the soup, hot chocolate, and marshmallows added a lush little touch! Cannot recommend this tour enough — a perfect experience!

5.00Poor weather forecats, but an amazing experience! A special shout out to Antonio, who did his best, followed his forecast and instincts and managed to provide us with the most amazing Northern Lights experience! We were worried because the forecast was not good - cloudy sky, BUT Antonio knew where to go, so he was confident, we were driving a lot, many buses stopped before us but he knew we had to go a bit further and then, in the right moment, we stopped and we had it - clear skies and massive Aurora. Couldn't have asked for a better trip, recommending 100%
