Your tour begins with picking you up from the specified address you choose. Time of pickup might change, it depend, from exact time of entrance to the Museum and order of hotel pickups. Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is located 65 km from Kraków, in Oświęcim. The journey to The Museum will take about 1h 20 min. During the road our driver will explain to you everything about the tour, what it will look like step by step, and answer all your questions. Before your tour starts, you will have a 15-minute break for the toilet.

The first part of your tour is Auschwitz I, the former main concentration camp. You will learn everything about the beginnings of the concentration camp in this place, as well as about various things that happened there. The main part of the exhibition is located here.

5.00I arranged a trip to Auschwitz-Birkennau which was a guided trip for myself and 14 year old daughter., I arranged to be picked up from the air BnB we were staying in. SIMON S was or contact person and was very quick at replying to any questions prior to the visit, gave very clear instructions of collection time/schedule during the trip and drop off. 5.00I will have to say that this experience in total surprised me more than I ever thought but in a good way. This place has weighed heavy on my mind for years. I have always been a student of History but there was many things even I learned yesterday. One of the biggest surprises was when my driver Igor picked me up from my hotel. From the moment he pulled up with the smile on his face I knew everything was going to be okay. At the time of meeting him I did not know he was going to be our actual tour guide. I just thought he was our driver and boy was I wrong. I ended up having conversations with him about the entire topic of Poland's history and Auschwitz all the way from Krakow to Auschwitz. He never missed a beat when he had knowledge to put forth that I did not know. He also took in stride when I taught him a few things. All the while still not knowing that this person who's a wealth of knowledge is going to be guiding me through one of the most difficult times I thought I was going to have in my life. I visited Hiroshima and I visited Pearl harbor but it took me many more years to prepare myself for visiting Auschwitz. I just want to give a huge shout out to the personal touch that we all received from Igor during our tour and on the way back to Krakow where me and all my new friends from the tour were DJing Irish folk music with the help of Igor. Everybody had an amazing time out of what could have been a very somber time in their lives. Thank you so much! Igor!!!! I think somebody needs a raise in salary!!!

5.00We were picked up at our apartment by David who was an excellent driver & guide. He explained everything and had our tickets ready. The guide around the site was also excellent. Very moving experience but not to be missed.
