The flower-strewn Death Wall, national memorials, gas chambers and crematoriums, preserved ruins, the remains of hundreds of barracks, watchtowers, the railway line and ramp - all form a moving testimony to the number of those who lost their lives.

[DEPARTURE] Booked times are tentative and may change due to schedule at the Auschwitz Museum and traffic conditions.
[DOCUMENTS] **Full names of all participants MUST be provided during booking (the same as on ID or passport, no nicknames). Passport or ID is MANDATORY for each participant and will be checked. No ID = NO ENTRY!**
[VISIT] Guided group tour only, no individual pacing. Respectful behavior and smart casual dress required. Eating, smoking, and loud behavior are not allowed.
[PICKUP] Some Krakow hotels are in traffic-restricted zones. Pickup will be arranged from the nearest accessible point and you will be informed in advance.
[LUNCH] Lunch is not included. There is no time for a full meal between visits, and no food facilities on-site, so please bring a snack.
[SECURITY] An airport-style security check is required before entering the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
[WEATHER] The tour runs in all weather. Up to 70% of the visit takes place outdoors, so please dress appropriately and bring water on warm days.
[CHILDREN] Children must be accompanied by an adult. Infant seats are available. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, the tour is recommended for ages 13+.
[PHOTOS] Photography is allowed except in marked areas. Flash is not permitted inside buildings.
[RENOVATIONS] Due to roadworks in western Krakow, pickups in that area are not possible. The Straszewskiego 19 meeting point is temporarily closed. We will arrange a nearby alternative if needed.

Your tour begins with transportation from Krakow (hotel or address you specified). Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is located in the town Oswiecim, about 1h15min in one way (65km). Every driver we cooperate with has all required by EU permissions for passenger transport. An English speaking and friendly leader of the group will assist you at any time you need. After arriving in Oswiecim, have a short break to grab a coffee or keep an eye on outdoor exhibitions.Then be kindly introduced to your local and professional guide who is licensed by Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.

Start your tour by walking through the gate to the first camp - Auschwitz I - originally conceived as a concentration camp, to be used as a detention centre for the many Polish citizens arrested after Germany annexed the country in 1939, with the most recognizable sign Arbeit Macht Frei (Work Makes You Free).This part usually takes 2 hours and you will be using a headset to hear your guide clearly. The group according to the Museum’s rule counts up to 30 people making the visit comfortable and accessible for every participant. Visit the original wooden buildings, fortified walls, barbed wires, gas chambers and crematoria - all of those leave a shocking impression allowing to imagine the scale of Holocaust.

3.00The actual sight was amazing and very emotional. However, it was rushed and you had to keep to a fast pace. I would have liked more time to reflect on the surroundings and show our respect. Our tour driver wasn't much help and didn't speak to us much in English but his colleague explained the procedure of the day on the coach and at the venue in 3 other languages. We felt very much out of the loop. There were at least half British on the coach. The coach did arrive on time and at the place agreed. Overall it was value for money.

3.00The tour was well organized, the English speaking guide on the bus was very competent and the bus driver drove carefully. Full marks there. Anyone with any mobility issues should be aware that there is a lot of walking on the tour, especially in Birkenau. Because there were more than 30 of us on the bus, they had to divide us into two groups for the guided tour of Auschwitz and similarly in Birkenau. We are native English speakers but unfortunately the guide assigned to our half of the bus was Polish. While her English was technically very good, she spoke far too fast, almost like reciting from a rehearsed script. This made it very difficult to understand what she was saying. I did ask her to slow down, which she did, but after a few minutes she resumed her fast pace.

5.00Excellent visit, transport was on time and very comfortable, the guide was very knowledgeable. Both driver and guide were happy to answer any questions and the visit went very smoothly. I would highly recommend.

4.00The trip and the guide were really good and very informative. We were told we were being picked up on a coach from our hotel but it was actually a taxi which took us to a meeting point in Krakow. Although this was fine as the taxi was free, when the coach dropped us back at the meeting point in the evening there was no taxi organised which meant we had to make our own way back to our hotel which was a fair way away and the added hassle of finding a taxi plus an added expense of paying for one to get us back to the hotel This needs to be explained when booking so something can be organised by the traveller.

5.00We took a tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau on 7.04.2026. The company that we choose- Hello Cracow, provided a very clear communication and smooth logistics. They’re in touch with us for all details about the visit. We appreciated how our guide Filip explained the history of the museum. He showed a deep knowledge about the Memorial, he engaged our attention and encouraged to ask additional question. Filip was very friendly and enthusiastic! We highly recommend this tour!
