Fufu and Light Soup with Chicken / Meat

Fufu is made from boiled cassava and plantain or cocoyam. It is pounded together in a locally made wooden mortar using a wooden pestle.

Waakye with shito, eggs, macaroni, and meat stew or chicken stew.

Waakye, is a dish made of rice and beans cooked with sorghum leaves, which impart a rich burgundy color.

Tuo Zaafi is commonly made with maize flour or millet flour. It has a soft texture and is slightly sticky when felt between the hands.

Had such a great time learning how to make Ghanaian food! The classes went really well, and everything was explained in such a fun and easy way. We made Red Red and Waakye, and both turned out so delicious. It was an amazing experience learning more about Ghanaian culture through food. Highly recommend!

This was my second excellent cooking class experience! The chef was amazing, and the entire team clearly knows what they are doing. The guide was professional, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Everything was well organized from start to finish. Highly recommend GhanaPeople Tours truly one of the best tour companies out there!

had such a great time at the cooking class We made authentic Ghanaian dishes, and everything was explained so simply — fun, interactive, and perfect for beginners. The food turned out amazing too 🔥Our host was full of good vibes too. If you want to learn how to cook delicious Ghanaian meals the right way, you should definitely book a class. You won’t regret it!

This was the best moment of my life , I will do this over and over again . I learnt an incredible skill , cooking with vibes and learning the culture. The meals taste awesome.. I can call my self a top chef now lol . This was a great experience

This was an amazing experience. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and worked to ensure our experience was memorable. He answered questions with a smile. We discussed selecting vegetables and preparation, oils and spices, cooking over an outside grill and much more. Ghanaian customs and culture were included. Now to prepare them at home.
