This was probably the most unique food tour I’ve ever done (and I’ve done probably a dozen over the past three years). It ended up basically being a private tour as it was just me and one other tourist with the guide. We were offered drinks all the time, it was flexible based on what we were hungry or thirsty for, and we could even add a stop if we were “still hungry.” We finished at a fruit market where we just got to try fresh fruit that was cut and cleaned for us right there and we couldn’t even finish it all, there was too much for just two (and a half if you include the guide who mostly didn’t partake). I would highly suggest them, and doing a food tour that doesn’t start until 2030 at night was fascinating. Though why it’s more expensive than the earlier one I have no idea….

TJ was a great guide and was able to provide lots of information on the history of Shanghai as well us taking us to some traditional eateries. TJ also accommodated my food allergies. We got to enjoy a large amount of food which was great value for money. TJ went above and beyond to help us and provided some great recommendations for our stay in Shanghai. Overall a great tour.

Our guide TJ was an amazing wealth of knowledge and looked after us wonderfully well. We tried some amazing local food in small local restaurants as well as authenticate dumplings in more main start restaurants. The tour included a tea tasting experience. We highly recommend this authentic tour. Great value as well as good exercise.
