Meet your guide at the Huangpi Nan Road metro station and depart on foot for the Xintiandi area of Shanghai. Start with a taste of notable soup dumplings and learn from your guide about their construction, including the savory meat filling and flavorful broth.
Former French Concession
Afterward, its a 15-minute walk to Yunnan Road, where you'll sit down alongside local residents catching up with their friends at three traditional restaurants and one dessert shop. On the way, notice French lane apartments of the French Concession give way to Chinese stone houses, called shikumen, and observe daily life among the street vendors, office workers, and mahjong players.

5.00Jade our wonderful guide took my wife and I to some fabulous authentic Chinese restaurants around Shanghai tonight. We sampled some truly tasty dishes, savoury and sweet throughout the evening. Jade was very friendly, enthusiastic and organised. The whole evenimg was a 10 out of 10 for us.

5.00Jim was an outstanding guide. Not only did he take us to several food places and explain the intricacies of the preparation, he also took us to a local grocery store where we were able to sample any of the fruits and vegetables that we desired. The evening was well paced, and nobody left hungry. This was probably one of the best tours I have ever taken. Thank you, Jim.

5.00Best food tour I’ve done so far. I did the 6:30pm dinner tour. Our guide Jim showed us a good mix of local spots as well as a Michelin guide restaurant. I came hungry and left feeling full. Jim had very helpful insights into the food scene in Shanghai. I would highly recommend this tour.
