This tour is currently running late night special tour session at 8:30PM. During this late night session, you will be able to see the night Shanghai, to taste of some craft beers or desert with some fresh hand-pulled beef noodles and lamb kabab.

Meet your guide at the Huangpi Nan Road metro station and depart on foot for the Xintiandi area of Shanghai. Start with a taste of notable soup dumplings and learn from your guide about their construction, including the savory meat filling and flavorful broth.
Former French Concession
Afterward, its a 15-minute walk to Yunnan Road, where you'll sit down alongside local residents catching up with their friends at three traditional restaurants and one dessert shop. On the way, notice French lane apartments of the French Concession give way to Chinese stone houses, called shikumen, and observe daily life among the street vendors, office workers, and mahjong players.

5.00Our guide Tj was excellent, explaining the culture behind the food and showing us places we never would have seen. It included 6 different places, including a stop for authentic tea which was refreshing. Overall would recommend to anyone

5.00I wanted to say that this food tour was a great experience and I really enjoyed my time. I can fully say I got the full experience of trying local Shanghai food and my guide was incredible. He was very thoughtful and explained any questions I had along the way. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants to get a taste of local Shanghai food.

5.00I’ve been on many food tours across Asia and this is in the top 5. The food selection was expertly curated. Started with fried soup dumplings. Then a savory pancake. Local coffee. Fruit selection from local market. Some other traditional breakfast items. Roast duck. Tea tasting with several teas and finally a dry noodle bowl with selection of toppings. Portions were generous but well managed so you wouldn’t fill up too soon. Our guide Wang Jian was wonderful. Fluent English. Great local knowledge. It was a cultural walking tour with food along the way. The walk was well paced giving time to digest and also to see a local public park where people dance do Tai Chi and sing Karaoke. Highly recommended.

5.00TJ was a very knowledgeable, helpful and cool guide! She gave lots of interesting snippets as we walked through the neighborhoods. The food was really really good and filling, as is a proper Shanghai breakfast! Great experience, a must go!
