This tour is then your best option if you want to live a proper and authentic reindeer farm experience. It is operated in cooperation with a real authentic farm. The family of herders that you will meet have been herding reindeer for nearly 200 years, and they will gladly share with you their passion and lifestyle.

After being picked up from your hotel, you will head to an authentic reindeer farm outside Rovaniemi. You will meet the herders and their animals, learn about their lifestyles and about reindeer husbandry. Because this is the first visit of the day, you will also get the chance observe the reindeers beeing fed with their favourite food. You will practice your driving skills with a self-driven short sleigh ride of 400 m (around 2-3 min). Reindeer sleigh rides were traditionally a way of transportation for loads and passengers in Lapland. Nowadays, certain skillful herders continue training the best elements of their herds to perpetuate this tradition. Please note that this tour focuses on the animals and the lifestyle of the herders, it does not include a longer safari.

5.00Very good experience at the farm of Rennes with Margaux thank you for his sweetness and kindness. We thought we had explanations in French especially since the guide of the farm of Rennes was French but everything was in English. The visit would have been nicer if he had spoken both languages especially since there were many French. The children did not understand anything. Thanks to Margaux of Nordic Odyssey for translating the essentials. The sled ride was short but we enjoyed it. There is a toboggan run for the children. We had a great time.

5.00We have made several trips with Nordic Odyssey (sled dog walk, reindeer farm visit and Northern Lights hunting) and are delighted with their services. The guides are very friendly and know how to pass on their knowledge. They are passionate and experienced. It was a real pleasure to take these excursions with them. Special mention to Quentin who struggled to find the perfect place to observe the Northern Lights and took beautiful photos.

5.00Superb experience in the reindeer farm despite the intense cold (-35°) on 10/01! Very informative and very good translation of our Guide! Also nice adaptation of the exit considering the conditions! I highly recommend them!

5.00A brilliant tour. Our guide Martin was so knowledgeable, a very safe driver and you could tell he really wanted us to see the beauty and history the Sami People and the Finnish way of life. On top of all that the farm was so interesting and the sleigh ride was magical. I think so much better than a taster at the Santa Claus village.

For a first time in Finland, they taught us a lot about the country, about reindeer, about nature. Their good humor and reliability really make the difference. 5.00A unique and unmissable experience when you come to Lapland🤩. Call on Nordic Odyssey if you don’t want to be disappointed and have a Francophone team. Super nice walk of several km which is ultra soothing and thanks to Lau, ee the farm staff , you will become ungluable on reindeer and their environments 😉😉😉.

5.00The experience with the reindeer has been a lot of fun, the child (he is 4) has had a great time feeding him. Besides the farm boy was very friendly and the time of questions and talks afterwards has become very enjoyable.

5.00All the things present in the activity are amazing: the speakers are very friendly, the walk and feeding of the reindeer are really cool, the small tasting at the end is very nice the food is excellent, as are the explanations and translation of leo our guide, I highly recommend!

5.00I booked the Reindeer & Husky Tour in Summer/Autumn for me and my husband and WOW we had an incredible time! We weren't sure what to expect with reindeer since they don't like to be petted, but we got to feed them! So cool. The husky cart ride (not a sled because snow had only just started to fall for the season) was so much fun - my husband loved driving the cart. My favorite part was the time we were given to pet and cuddle the dogs after the ride. Our guides all day were helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
