This full-day Milford Sound extraordinaire tour from Te Anau will have you traveling along the spectacular Milford Road. With fun commentary and plenty of local knowledge provided you will have a chance to see keas, seals, dolphins and the Fiordland crested penguin.
In addition to a scenic cruise on Milford Sound, this full-day tour includes short nature walks and opportunities to explore some of Fiordland’s most striking landscapes. Take time to admire powerful waterfalls fed by glacier-carved terrain as they flow into the UNESCO World Heritage–listed fiord.

Mirror Lakes Walk
A short walk viewing the "Mirror Lakes" where the Earl mountains reflect on the small oxbow lakes. You will take photos which will look the same turned 180 deg. Whilst this can be 1 five minute walk, we allow 15 minutes for you to soak up the amazing scenery

5.00The experience was awesome, although we went on a rainy day, the trip overall was amazing, especially seeing more than a thousand waterfalls (temporary ones), the views felt surreal, as if we were part of a movie. Stephen was awesome and helpful guide. The boat ride could be better as we struggled to hear the commentary. Overall, certainly recommend the tour.

5.00Fantastic tour. Our guide Stephen collected us from our accommodation, we had a group of 16, Steve gave us lots of local knowledge and made everyone feel included and made sure that we had a great time. It’s great to have a local guide who knows the area so well. Our lunch pack was better than expected, a delicious fresh sandwich plus a piece of fruit, cheese and crackers, a chocolate and some chips, not to mention the cruise boat had tea, coffee and cookies, more then enough delicious food. We also had a delightful afternoon tea break on the way back courtesy of Steve. The scenery is amazing, we had a few photo stops along the way. The cruise was great, not too crowded and the staff on the boat were very friendly and accommodating. The scenery is breathtaking, both by land and sea, definitely recommend this excursion

5.00We loved our day to visit the Milford Sound. We were picked up at our accom on time and enjoyed the bus ride to the Sound. Our driver/guide Stephen was fantastic. He was friendly, fun and his knowledge of the area was exceptional! The boat ride was amazing. Just magnificent! The packed lunch was fresh and delicious. All in all a perfect day!

5.00A great way to experience Milford! Stephen our guide was fabulous, friendly and had heaps of knowledge to provide us with. He was great at offering ample stops along the way to shake our legs and take beautiful photos. The sound cruise was perfect on a medium sized craft so it didn’t feel so crowded and commercialized. The packed lunch was also delicious. 100000000% would recommend.

5.00We had a fantastic day with Fiordland Tours. Our guide Sarah personally greeted us on arrival and we found her to be very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. Sarah was approachable with any questions or requests we had. The picnic lunch provided was delicious and included a few little surprises. Highly recommend

5.00A fabulous day from start to finish. The coach was very comfortable, the driver, Alan, charming and knowledgeable, the small group size allowed us flexibility and a relaxed atmosphere. Refreshments - morning tea and baked goods, picnic lunch - were delicious. The catamaran cruise was spectacular. Couldn’t have been a better day and well worth the price.
