You will have the chance to do the most spectacular 30-minute walk to Milford Sound. It is the Marian Cascade which is a continuous cascading waterfall draining from a glacier fed lake. Your day will be topped off with a 2-hour cruise on the famous Milford Sound.

Embrace the wet weather. It makes the experience. Waterfalls were abundant and the fiord was an adventure rather than a cruise.

Tonya was a great driver and guide. There were many stops at viewing points and a short hike on the trip up and back and she gave us great information all along the way about the history and geology of the area. Delicious lunch and a morning tea stop were all part of the package. Nice boat ride on a good size boat that was not crowded. Good captain on the boat who gave us a great commentary and pulled us up close to a waterfall. So much nicer to be going in a smaller vehicle from Te Anau rather than a big tour bus from Queenstown. Definitely plan to do this!

Had a great day to Milford Sound with Stephen. The bus ride both ways was made interesting by Stephen’s great knowledge of the area as well as his passion for his work and the Fiordland environment. He made the tour a 5* for us One of the best drivers/ guides we have experienced in our last 25 years of extensive travel We also took up the option of the helicopter ride from Milford which was a very worthwhile experience.

With 16 on our tour plus the guide, Sasha, it was the perfect size to ensure all questions were covered and everyone got to do what was important to them.
