Australian people don't do "just in case." Isn't yelling when a busy person violently walks in? Brits were willing to stand in line, but Australians of British descent waited quietly, trying to make the line shorter. Even if you can't hear the guide's English, you should do your best to listen. It was hard for British tourists to hear either.

Although it is about 5 hours drive from Alice Springs to Uluru it is an unforgettable experience. The driver was very knowledgeable about Uluru and it's surroundings. Dinner was very nice and the sunset was awesome.

Great one-day trip from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock and back. Outbound starts early and provides you with an overview of the ever-changing landscape, Uluru was presented professionally with enough time, including the BBQ at the sunset viewpoint. Travel back is in darkness- but that's OK after such a long day ;-)
