Leave Hanoi for Quang Uyen at 8 AM on a 6-hour drive. Stop in Thai Nguyen city to visit Museum of Ethnic Minorities in Viet Nam.
After lunch in Bac Kan city, go through six mountainous passes to reach homestay at an incense making village of Quang Uyen district, Cao Bang province. Rest of the day can be spent to discover life of Nung people here and the way they make incense to survive. If you are hungry for more amazing landscape, it is recommended you have 1-hour hike up the mountain behind the village to get the whole exotic view and enjoy a sunset break at the peak.

Ban Gioc Waterfall - Detian Falls
Take a morning exercise and enjoy the fresh air before your served local breakfast. Hit the road again to captivating Ban Gioc waterfall, the fourth biggest border waterfall in the world between Vietnam and China. Stop en route for a short walk around Phuoc Sen village, a Nung village where they make knives as traditional handicraft.
Nguom Ngao Cave
Pay a visit to amazing Nguom Ngao limestone cave, also known as Tiger cave before return Ba Be lake. Enjoy the peacefull sunset by the lake. If time permits, have a swim in cooling fresh water of the lake.

Enjoy last breakfast in this rural paradise before 3-hour boating around the lake. Short walk to see Cam village with nature, local people and school at the end of the lake. Follow Nang river to Puong cave, a tunnel cave full of amazement from limestone stalactites and stalagmites to mysterious bats. Continue to Buoc Lom wharf where you say goodbye to Ba Be and return Hanoi.

5.00We had a great time! Well orgainsed & communication before & during tour. Our guide Chiên was a very attentive & knowledgeable. Wonderful food. Mr Dan was a skilled & caring driver! We couldn't chose our favourite place as we enjoyed them ALL. We upgraded our accommodation & that was lovely 😍

5.00The 3 day tour was carefully planned, mixing history, culture and fun. Our tour guide Chien was very attentive, knowledgeable ans discreet, and did everything to accommodate our needs. Our driver Mr Thuy was very calm and safely drove us everywhere. We felt safe in his car. The choice of the homestay was excellent and it feels we have had a real experience of North Vietnam.
Very memorable moments. Great way to get a taste of country Vietnam.

5.00This activity was amazing and we had a great time as a 34 and 65 year old couple of friends. We were so relaxed with Thuy as our driver and Giang as our guide. The private tour was worth the money. We were so well taken care of, learned so much, were able to sit quietly for parts of the day and relax, and were able to stop for fruit and other whims we had! The waterfalls, homestays, cave, boat ride, walks... everything was lovely. The north is also the best part of the Vietnam in my opinion (I live here and have been everywhere) and doing this tour was a great way to see it if you don't want to do the Ha Giang Loop (or if you already have!).

5.00We did a 3 day private tour to Ba Be Lake and Ban Gioc Waterfall with Conical Travel and the trip left us experiences and memories that we can never forget. We were so amazed at the landscape and natural features on the way. Ban Gioc waterfall is so awesome, lying in the border with Vietnam and China. The water is blue and flows strongly. Our guide said that it is one of the 4 biggest border waterfall in the world. We did a boat trip to get closer to the fall and Chinese land and really loved it. The next destination was Ba Be Lake and Ba Be National Park. The lake is so beautiful with fresh and crystal-clear water. We had time to do some swimming and boating around the lake. Everything was like a rural paradise with a diversity of fauna and flora around. One more thing that we loved about the trip is we had chance to stay with and experience the local lives of ethnic Tay and Nung tribes. We ate a lot of their local mouth-watering food that we had never tried before, and wouldnt have chance to try if not coming there. Last words are our thank to our guide Ivan and our driver Tuan who did a great job in making us safe and well-informed during the trip. We highly appreciate their attempt in making our trip successful.

5.00We have just finished a 3 day trip to Ba Be Lake and Ban Gioc Waterfall with Conical Travel. The trip was such a big lesson for us to open our eyes and everything was so incredible. We were entirely mesmerized by the green landscape of rural parts in Northern Vietnam. We met a lot of local ethnic people who are different from people I saw in big cities inVietnam and we had chance to communicate with them and learn their cultures. So NICE!! Time spent in the Ban Gioc waterfall and Ba Be lake was unforgettable for us. We had the feeling of nature, adventure and happiness. The only thing we didnt like about the trip is the way is so long. Good recommendation for anybody who would like to do the trip, you should choose 4 days and you will have more time to see and discover. In all thank you Conical Travel for the great trip!!!
