Pura Puseh Desa Batuan
The Batuan temple is considered as the oldest temple in Bali Island. This temple was designed with Balinese ornaments and the roof was made from the fiber of the coconut tree with black color. The temple location is strategic, which is on the side of the main road that connected Denpasar to Ubud. For over than a thousand of year, Batuan has transformed into the artist and craftsmen village, old legend, and also mysterious stories.The Batuan temple was built in the year of 944 Isaka or 1020 AD. Almost 1000 years old, this temple can be categorized as Puseh temple according to the concept of “Tri Kahyangan or Tri Murti”. This is also makes this temple as the oldest temple in Bali island.

5.00We booked an all-inclusive private tour in Bali and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Andiy was an amazing driver and guide—so friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to spend the day with. He shared lots of interesting information about Bali and made the whole trip really enjoyable. He always made sure we felt safe and comfortable, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Andiy also made sure we were back at our cruise ship with plenty of time to spare, which gave us great peace of mind. 5.00Despite heavy traffic we managed to take in quite a lot of Bali’s attractions in the 6 hours available to us. Dika was a friendly and knowledgeable driver / guide and provided a lot of background information on the history and culture of Bali and was able to answer all our questions in an informative way. All 4 of us enjoyed the day and would recommend the trip to any visitor with limited time to get an overview of the island. The restaurant he took us to for the short lunch, overlooking some rice fields served tasty local dishes and was a pleasant location for a break in the excursion.

5.00Received clear & concise joining instructions from our driver/guide Wira who was ready & waiting for us by the cruise terminal car park. Our first stop was at a batik outlet, where we saw the skilful employees making traditional items plus loom work. We were then driven to a fine silver jewellery workshop & outlet. Again, up close & personal with the artisan workers. A short drive took us to the Hindu Batuan Temple, which has an amazing history. Next it was on to Lodtunduh & Cantik Coffee Plantation for an interesting sampling of many flavoured coffees, including Luwak or civet coffee, which was excellent in my opinion. A 15 minute drive took us to a wood carving workshop where we saw pieces large & small being produced (and sold). A very pleasant (included) Nasi Goreng lunch was taken followed by a drive to the Tegenungan Waterfall. Then a stop at Kemenhu where we witnessed the tiered rice terraces & their irrigation system before the drive back to the Benoa Cruise Terminal where we completed our excellent excursion. Thoroughly recommend this private shore excursion and 5 star rating to our knowledgeable and personable driver/guide Wira.

5.00They were travelling as a couple with Wayan via Bali. Excellent driver with extensive knowledge of each station. Selected restaurant for lunch overlooking rice terraces priceless. Overall great and informative day.

5.00This was an excellent overview of the Benoa area. Our guide met us at our ship and provided us a very comfortable day long tour. We never felt rushed and easily adjusted the itinerary to our specific wants. Our guide’s English was excellent and in our conversation we learned a great deal about islander family life and culture. I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone’s first time visit to Benoa.
Friendly Knowledgable Guide for Introduction to Bali

5.00What a great introduction to Bali. We had a full day in Bali while on a cruise through Southeast Asia. This was our first stop and the first time in Bali for my wife and our friend. The operator of the tour kept us informed of meeting details and coordinated the meeting with our driver/guide Jun using WhatsApp. Very convenient and reassuring when traveling to a part of the world you've never ventured before. The port area in Bali can be very hectic and signage is not always the best, but before disembarking we were given very precise instructions on how to find our guide. He also sent us a picture of himself so we could find him easily. This was important because a HUGE number of travelers opt for private guides and taxis and it can sometimes be a bit daunting to manage the crowds. Jun was everything you could ask for in a guide. He was very knowledgable and friendly. He was a great driver in an area where there is no way I would feel comfortable driving myself. He negotiated the traffic with ease without making us feel concerned for our safety. We followed the basic outline that they provided, but when we felt that something could be shortened or lengthened, we just asked Jun and he managed the changes flawlessly. Bali is a beautiful island and some of the views were breathtaking, so I won't go into detail about that. Specifics on this tour that I felt were unique included a easy private introduction into the temple that we visited (we weren't crammed into a group of 50, but just the 4 of us.) The rain that day was rather brutal so we cut short our visit to the Agro Tourism site and we weren't that interested in some of the shopping stops, so again we were able to reduce the time there and increase time spent in scenic locations. The lunch spot was very good with a limited menu which we felt was just right... my curry with rice was fantastic! My wife really enjoyed her Fried Rice, and our friend enjoyed her noodle dish. My wife was interested in seeing monkeys so Jun suggested a sight near the waterfall. He was upfront that admission fees for that were not included, but was more that willing to bring us there and walk us through; unfortunately the rain got very heavy and we decided for forgo that addition. I very much appreciated that Jun was so professional with whatever change we wanted to throw at him. One of the issues with any tour in Bali is the traffic and making sure you leave time for returning to the ship in the allotted time; again, Jun made us very comfortable and was sure that we would be back well before final boarding time. Highly recommend this tour company and guide!
