Gates of Heaven
Lempuyang Temple or the Gate of heaven is believed to predate the majority of Hindu temples on the island. Definitely a highlight on any travel itinerary for the fit and adventurous, the main temple lies at 1,175m above sea level, up on the peak of the namesake Mount Lempuyang in East Bali. The heights are reachable via a steep staircase of over 1,700 steps, with attractions along the way including several other temples and hordes of grey long-tailed macaques that inhabit the surrounding cool mountain forests.
Tirta Gangga
Tirta Gangga Water Palace were designed and constructed in 1948 by Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem (1887 - 1966), who was the last king of Karangasem. He was a remarkable man to say the least, not only because he was the architect of the water gardens but also because he helped with the construction of the gardens. A lot of people were astonished to find the Raja amidst his lower class laborers, working knee deep in the mud digging out the pools and ponds.

5.00Loved the day. Car was super fun, relaxed pace and having everything pre-paid was so much easier at the venues. Eddie was great and knew some shortcuts and tips and tricks! Would definitely do again!

5.00We loved this tour so much easier to see all the sights without a roof over you . We are a family of 5 kids are 11,9,7 although a long day the kids did ok with it . Would have been harder if it was a full sunny day I would say . Maybe one option would be able to cut a couple things off if kids are coming along when you book and make it a 6-8 hr day not 8-10 . But still super happy we did it !! Our drivers were amazing too Gidday and sorry forgot :/ but picture of him below :)

5.00The pick up was on time and the VW open top was in very original condition. Perfect for seeing the sites of Bali. We visited temples with amazing line of site to the volcano plus beaches and other places of interest. Kopi navigated the Bali road system with confidence and was a mine of information on local culture and traditions. We agreed it was a better experience than an air conditioned mini bus and enjoyed the day completely.

5.00I had a great day with Keta. The VW was so cool and he explained the day to me as we went. We even got to see a village tradition that happens only once a year. I’d recommend booking this and requesting him.

5.00Super from beginning to end! Awesome open top car - and guide -Kopi! Plenty of time to explore sites and freedom to choose. Gates of heaven,water temple, virgin beach and very ancient village. The trip was a great adventure while also feeling safe at all times.

5.00Awesome experience, just be mindful it can get a bit hot and windy, make sure you bring sunscreen, hat, hair tie, etc. Nonetheless, it is def something you should do while in Bali! All good fun!

5.00The day we spent with Gede Ari was the highlight of our entire 12-day trip to Bali. The classic VW proved far more comfortable than I imagined and my eight-year-old son fell in love with the whole open-air experience. We chose the east coast tour which included a temple, a pristine beach and a water garden. Worth every penny!

5.00Gede the driver was so accommodating and made us feel safe while on our adventures and in the mahem of the traffic. VW was a great car. Lunch was good and Tirta Gangga Water Palace was spectacular. Well recommended.
