5.00Great little tour. Allowed me to see things I wouldn’t have seen and learn some new stuff. Definitely great for the price. Only issue was the path to the last stop was closed for some reason (gate was locked). Could have gotten there another way but would have added 20 minutes on and didn’t have the time. Other than that it was great. At the church, the recording was reading special characters when describing the 6 statues outside the entrance. “Less-than, greater-than, blah blah blah”
Never worked, wasted money and time.

1.00Got to the start point in Bamberg and could not get the tour to start. No matter what I entered on the website, it would not accept the confirmation code and start the tour. We never got to do the tour after 40 minutes of frustrating effort (and I am tech savvy). Wasted money and time.

5.00The only negative thing … so much food … so much beer. Perfect way to sample Bamberg’s beer. Do some research first. Locals were so nice and offered great suggestions. Be sure you pace yourself. Beautiful walkable city. One of the best stops and tours on our itinerary. Have fun!

5.00Bamberg was wonderful. Because there was no strategic importance the Allies did not bomb 💣 much of the city during world war II only the train station and an industrial area in another part of town. The old town with the ancient buildings was not damaged. It is a fun one-day walking tour of a medieval town with cobbled streets that are horrible on your feet, and great food. If you go to Bamberg and you're a beer drinker you have to try the smoke beer. It is definitely smokey and for me a one-time experience that I will not soon forget. The people were welcoming and nice and everyone spoke English.

5.00My first self guided tour, nice discovery. I love human contact but last week in Nuremberg I've joined a walking tour where two people were smoking around all the time killing the magic. I liked the freedom I had sto start, stop and restart again anytime I wanted. I will try it again tomorrow in Augsburg :)

4.00I had exactly two hours in Bamberg (which I highly recommend) so I had to make the most of my time. Instead of taking a formal tour and fearing missing my ride, I opted for this self-guided tour. It was easy, the audio history really flavored the experience, the quizzes were fun and helped reinforce the key features, and I could go at my own pace. I gave four stars because I wish you could do the stops out of order. If you could do that, it would be 5-star all the way.
