Ville Thermale d'Antsirabe

In the afternoon, arrive in Antsirabe, nicknamed the spa town of Madagascar. With its colonial architecture and pleasant climate, it invites an authentic immersion aboard a rickshaw, the local emblem. A stroll through its alleys allows you to explore the Craft Point of Sale and meet the craftsmen working with zebu horn and traditional embroidery. Miandrivazo

Morning Check-out westbound to the Tsiribihina River, Check-out point for a unique river adventure. After waking up on the water’s edge, navigation continues in the heart of the meanders of the Tsiribihina. Stop at the village of Begidro, famous for its old tobacco concessions still cultivated by hand, with the possibility to visit a bonded warehouse. Further on, you will follow the cliffs of Kina Kina, populated by giant bats, before discovering the rice fields and giant capoquies. Crossing the village of Berevo, more structured with its Catholic school, dispensary and gendarmerie. At the end of the day, stop in Ambatomisay to admire your first Andasonia Za baobabs. The bivouac is set up on a wild beach for a second night under the stars. After dinner, you’ll enjoy a family-friendly traditional dance show around the campfire.

Belo Tsiribihina

Last stop of morning sailing to Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, where a typical lunch awaits you. This final stretch of river then gives way to a 4x4 crossing through arid landscapes and plains punctuated by baobab trees. The Manambolo ferry crossing marks the entry into the Tsingy region of Bemaraha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrival in Bekopaka at the end of the day offers a well-deserved moment of rest at the Inn, before exploring the famous Grand Tsingy the following day. In the afternoon, a getaway in the village of Belo-sur-Tsiribihina immerses you in the authentic life of this peaceful village nestled between river and savannah. You will discover the lively local Point of Sale, full of colour, where handicrafts, spices and scenes of daily life rub shoulders. The ideal opportunity to exchange with the locals, taste Malagasy specialities or bring back some handmade souvenirs.

Manambolo River

The day begins with a peaceful canoe ride on the Manambolo River, offering a fascinating discovery of the Manambolo Gorge, its steep cliffs and secret caves, where ancient Vazimba tombs lie. Then head to the majestic UNESCO-listed Tsingy de Bemaraha for an immersion in this unique mineral maze.

Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
