Animal Flower Cave
The Animal Flower Cave is located under the cliffs at North Point, St. Lucy, Barbados. It is the island's lone accessible sea cave. The cave stands six feet above the high water mark although it was formed at sea level. This has occurred because Barbados is rising at 1 inch per 1000 years. There are coral steps that lead down through an opening in the roof (former blowhole) into the cave. Inside the cave, still found are some sea anemones, which are locally called animal flowers, whence the cave obtained its name. Entrance to the cave is not included in the tour.

5.00The tour guide tailored our tour specifically for us. He took us to all of the places we wanted to see. He was a safe driver, provided great information and historical insights. The van was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was working perfectly in the van. We stopped and had a delicious lunch along the way.

5.00Amazing possibility to get to know Barbados on your terms, pace and needs. Our guide/driver O'Donovan was the most knowledgeable and service oriented person. All our questions were replied. 3.00Guide drove to most of the island on a four hour tour. Made only one stop. The tour guide narrative during the tour was good but would have been preferred making more stops rather than a moving vehicle description of what was currently seen. Was not able to meet up the the guide as scheduled as he waited outside the Bridgetown Cruise Terminal to meet rather entering the terminal area where most of the tour vans and taxis were picking up passengers
