Animal Flower Cave
The Animal Flower Cave is located under the cliffs at North Point, St. Lucy, Barbados. It is the island's lone accessible sea cave. The cave stands six feet above the high water mark although it was formed at sea level. This has occurred because Barbados is rising at 1 inch per 1000 years. There are coral steps that lead down through an opening in the roof (former blowhole) into the cave. Inside the cave, still found are some sea anemones, which are locally called animal flowers, whence the cave obtained its name. Entrance to the cave is not included in the tour.

2.00My husband I booked this trip to visit areas of Barbados that we hadn't hit in our first 5 days of our visit. We dropped a good amount of cash and was very disappointed. Our guide was accommodating with pick up and drop off, but the experience was not fun. We could have had a better experience and spent less money taking the local buses and taxis to the locations we went and felt less rushed. Maybe 4 hour tour was too short for us? I'm not sure...but I've had much better tours in other countries. I also felt very disconnected from our guide...you win some you lose some when traveling internationally.

5.00My husband said this tour should be part of every Barbados vacation package! O’Donovan was so knowledgeable - he named every historical landmark, every restaurant, school, flower, bird, tree, fruit, rum shop, notable figure…. Just a wealth of knowledge. He included a pottery shop I had requested, and we made stops at places of interest to us. Hearing the history of Barbados gave us a greater understanding of the island and the people. The van was comfortable and clean and he gave the potholes and narrow roads due consideration. Would highly recommend!

5.00The tour guide tailored our tour specifically for us. He took us to all of the places we wanted to see. He was a safe driver, provided great information and historical insights. The van was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was working perfectly in the van. We stopped and had a delicious lunch along the way.
