St. John's Church
The St John Parish Church According to the Anglican tradition, worship has been conducted on this spot since 1645. The first building, a wooden structure, was destroyed by fire in 1676 and replaced by a stone structure. Following the hurricanes of 1780 and 1831, the current building was constructed in 1836. Fernando Paleologus,a former church warden and planter was buried under the choir when he died in 1670. He was buried with his head pointing to the west and the body embedded in quicklime in accordance with the Greek Orthodox custom. Following the hurricane of 1831 his tomb was moved to the churchyard. Paleologus was a descendent of the brother of the great Emperor Constantine XI He fled to Barbados after his family was driven from the throne of Constantinople by the Turks
Bathsheba Beach
Bathsheba is located on the Eastern coastline of Barbados. It is said that this area was named after the wife of King David whose name was “Bathsheba”. Legend has it that she bathed in milk to keep her skin beautiful and soft, and the rolling surf waters of Bathsheba’s “Soup Bowl” resembled Bathsheba’s bath. The area is popular with surfers. It is a popular area for locals and visitors alike and is dotted with several seaside cottages.

Great tour of this beautiful island. We had a comprehensive day with all the sites. Enjoyed the quick snorkel spot. The hill stop was not that great - missable.

This was the best tour we've taken on this cruise that stopped at 9 ports. Charles was great and is a definite asset to the company. We really appreciate his insight and hospitality. Booking 3rd party was easy and the tour was easy to find right outside the terminal. We had no issues and we'd definitely use the company again if in Barbados again.

Calvin, our guide, was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the island. But the snorkeling was rushed and too many people to see much.

Barbados Shore Excursion Island Tour and Snorkel Cruise was by far the highlight of our Southern Caribbean Cruise. We loved the snorkeling cruise at the ship wreck and having seen turtles and bunch of fish in the snorkeling sites. We highly commend Tranquility Cruise for the job well done! They took care of the guests and made sure the purpose of the trip was fulfilled. All crew members were amazing! 👏👏👏

Our guide for the day was Lisa. Was absolutely brilliant from start to finish and certainly looked after us. We did the monkey feeding and wildlife park. Lunch was good very filling. The snorkelling with turtles was amazing and the boat crew very helpful. Tour was so good we used them for another trip while there.
