The cooking class starts with a market visit, and includes tapas and a sangria-making segment. There are non-alcoholic suggestions for those who do not partake. The class was led by Yaya, who was delightful and full of tips and suggestions throughout the process. We learned how to assess the quality of the seafood ingredients, how to clean them and prep them, and various checks for safety throughout. I came away feeling like I can actually go home and serve an impressive paella! Also learned a quick and simple gluten-free dessert to accompany the main meal, and it was seriously delicious. On caveat: check the market holidays before you book, or you will not get the market shopping experience. Otherwise fantastic.

This was a fun and informative experience, including a walk through the public market to purchase seafood for the paella. We all participated in preparing the seafood for the meal, and the paella was delicious! Well organized and entertaining.

Enjoyed making traditional Sangria and authentic seafood paella. The chef was easy going and guided us through all the steps, making the experience delightful. The ingredients were super fresh. Since it was a Sunday, we didn’t get to tour the market, but he still shared tips on how to choose fresh food. . He provide history of the dishes and it was fun getting to know and work with the other participants. The food was delicious. I highly recommend.
