Walk the stalls with your local chef and learn how to choose the freshest seasonal ingredients. After the market, head to GAB LAB, our modern test kitchen and dining space. Begin with a fun sangria-making workshop, followed by a tasting of seasonal tapas. Next, put on your apron for a hands-on paella class. Learn the history and techniques behind this iconic dish as you cook, share stories, and bring your paella to life. Once ready, enjoy your meal with fellow travelers, followed by a traditional Spanish dessert and farewell toast. Recipes are included so you can recreate the experience at home. Ideal for food lovers, couples, solo travelers, and groups seeking an authentic and social Barcelona experience. Enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere designed to help you connect, cook, and share an unforgettable meal together. Please note: - The market is closed Sundays and public holidays - Classes at 11:00 and 19:00 end at Carrer de Sant Gil, 4 Bis (9-minute walk from the market) - Chicken and Vegetarian options are also available for those with food allergies and preferences.

We had an amazing experience. The chefs were friendly and informative! The food was delicious and at the end, I went home with all of the recipes! Alberto and Matteo were so friendly and nice!!!! We loved them.

Fantastic experience in every possible way. The chef was funny, helpful and ensured we had the best time. He walked us through making Paella....with preparing the squid being the highlight. The food turned out perfectly, the best Paella I've ever had, and the San Gria we made was fantastic. I've recommended this experience to my friends back home, and we'd do it again.

Such a great experience! The whole idea seemed a bit kitschy initially but our host Yaya mixed in a fair amount of history and culture which kept things interesting. Plus lots sangria! Really enjoyed the cooking part and the paella itself was fabulous. My husband and I both had a lot of fun. Be aware the meeting point was a bit difficult to find, the name GabLab is in smaller letters about 10 feet up, we passed it completely the first try and only located it with a help of a passerby.

An amazing experience, visiting the market for fresh ingredients and then making the most delicious lunch. Maria and Andreas were fantastic hosts and it was a great group of people. Highly recommend this activity to visitors to Barcelons.

Matt and Hugo were awesome! It was an interactive, educational, and extremely fun experience. I definitely wouldn’t skip this on a visit to Barcelona, I couldn’t recommend it enough!!

Excellent course. The chefs Hugo and Matteo did an impressive lesson. They explained a lot about background and details of preparation. It was a lot of fun and paella was wonderful.
