Journey through Picasso’s exciting life in Barcelona. We’ll visit Els Quatre Gats Restaurant, a former tavern that was a gathering spot for artists and became the very first place Picasso exhibited his genius.
Continue to the Sala Parès, a paint shop turned gallery. Here, Picasso and others once exhibited their paintings. We may even step inside to see how it’s changed over the years!
At Carrer d'Avinyó 44, you’ll hear how the women inspired his famous piece, Les Demoiselles d'Avinyó. There’s more on our tour, but we wrap up at the picturesque Carrer Montcada, a medieval street at the entrance of Picasso Museum. Your guide will share tips on what to look for during your self-guided visit.
If you’ve chosen the food and wine upgrade, a guide will escort you from the museum to a private room in one of Barcelona’s best wine shops. Savor a variety of cheeses, cured meats, Catalan tomato bread, and premium wines with a sommelier to lead this culinary experience.

The optional tasting upgrade includes premium cheeses, meats, wine, and more and is held in a private room in Vila Viniteca at Carrer dels Agullers 7. For guests under 18, soft drinks will be provided in place of wine. If you choose this upgrade, a guide will meet you outside the Picasso Museum at 1:45 p.m. to take you to your exclusive tasting experience. As you exit the museum, look for a guide holding an orange ExperienceFirst sign.

5.00Perrine, the tour guide, had a wealth of knowledge about Picasso and made the tour very enjoyable. I highly recommend the tour if you are a fan of Picasso or just want to learn a little more about Picasso.

5.00It was our first day in Barcelona and this tour was the very first thing we did here. Cal was an excellent guide, full of information about Picasso's life. He kept us all engaged and he ended the tour with recommendations for restaurants and other experiences we were interested in. What a lovely way to start our stay here!

5.00Our tour guide was Eoghan who was super nice, very passionate and made the tour very pleasant. He brough the life of Picasso to us in a fun and imteresting way which we loved. 10/10
It was fun, enagaging, imteresting and we learned soemthing new!

1.00Although the experience had an address to meet at, mI assumed, incorrectly, that the meeting place would be near the museum. It wasn't. Although the meeting point was specified, I believe that it should have specified that the meeting point was NOT near the museum. My wife and I missed both the tour and the museum entry fee. We had to pay for entry to the museum even though we had paid for it with this excursion. Frustrating. I have never before missed an meeting point for a viator tour.

5.00Thomas was a delight, passionate about Barcelona and Pablo Picasso. His tour really brought to Picasso to life and provided interesting background coupled with selected paintings used for examples. Of course if you don’t like Picasso I’m sure most will enjoy watching Thomas himself 😂 He was friendly and open and spoke perfect English with a wonderful French accent. We opted for the wine and cheese tasting, this is where Eoghan (Owen) came in! We followed this Irish gentleman to a place that served the best meat, cheese and wine. I wasn’t sure this was a worthwhile add-on but I was WRONG. Not only was it really fun getting to know Eoghan, but the tasting was incredibly delicious. Irish charm and delicious tastes n Barcelona - what could be better?

5.00Our day started with disaster. Our hotel's elevators failed leaving guests struggling to exit. We were on 10th floor. Experience First worked so well with us. We failed to connect with the walking tour, but their staff sent us our Picasso Museum tickets directly and tried to help us connect with the tour. Our day was saved, when Thomas met us at the museim exit and led us personally to our wine and food tasting. Great wines, great food, great company. I will look for and recommend Experience First going forward;)

5.00We had Thomas as our walking Picasso guide he was excellent very knowledgeable and charismatic we learnt a lot about Picasso during the tour we got sent our tickets for the museum by e mail efficiently during the tour did not have the time unfortunately to enjoy museum we were flying home but will definitely come back.
