Escape the bustle of Barcelona with a guided bus tour to the breathtaking Montserrat mountains.

Meet your guide in the city center and enjoy a short, scenic bus ride to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, explore the stunning mountainside monastery and learn its rich history.

The tour ends with an included ticket to the basilica.

After which you then have your 3 hours free time: hike the hills, savour a buffet lunch with panoramic views, or visit the museum. We recommend taking the funicular (extra cost) for unforgettable vistas.

After your adventure, return to Barcelona in the afternoon, 6 hours after departure.

Be aware that in the summer months the transport is normally a coach, and in the winter is usually a minibus.

Please note:

"Monastery" refers to the entire complex, not just where monks live. This is included in the tour

"Basilica" (literal church interior) is included

"Throne Room" with the Black Madonna is not included.

The guide was starring too much at all girls and not discretly. Very disrespectful! The activity on itself was good.

Francisco is very knowledgeable. The location is breathtaking. However we did waste a lot of time waiting to get into the parking areas. My suggestion is to change the drop off to bottom of the hill and let travelers take the rail or gondola up for an additional fee. Makes for a smoother itinerary. Even though Francisco gave us additional time it is still more rushed than it needs to be.

Montserrat is a unique community high in the mountains about an hour north of Barcelona. We met our tour at 9:00 am near the marina and they were efficient checking in a group of 40+ tourists and getting the tour started. Our guide was knowledgeable explaining the history of Montserrat and describing all the activities and sights we would see. Upon arriving, we had four hours to explore the basilica, eat lunch, visit the museum, hikes the mountain trails and enjoy the amazing views. Despite Friday afternoon traffic, we were returned to our meeting point at approximately 3:00 pm, concluding the 6 hour tour.

It was not only a bad experience but upon letting the company know of my experience they completely made excuses for their false advertising. Their customer service was horrible.

Enjoyed a great last minute tour of Montserrat on our recent trip to Barcelona. The tour guide, Ewan, was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience good fun and we learned a lot!

Montserrat was amazing, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been too! This was especially due to our guide Marc (not Marco) who clearly explained the different walking routes which meant we could easily explore the surrounding area in the time we had. He was also especially kind and patient with latecomers and those with accessibility issues. Highly recommend!
