Escape the bustle of Barcelona with a guided bus tour to the breathtaking Montserrat mountains.
Meet your guide in the city center and enjoy a short, scenic bus ride to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, explore the stunning mountainside monastery and learn its rich history.
The tour ends with an included ticket to the basilica.
After which you then have your 3 hours free time: hike the hills, savour a buffet lunch with panoramic views, or visit the museum. We recommend taking the funicular (extra cost) for unforgettable vistas.
After your adventure, return to Barcelona in the afternoon, 6 hours after departure.
Be aware that in the summer months the transport is normally a coach, and in the winter is usually a minibus.
Please note:
"Monastery" refers to the entire complex, not just where monks live. This is included in the tour
"Basilica" (literal church interior) is included
"Throne Room" with the Black Madonna is not included.

4.00Montserrat is a unique community high in the mountains about an hour north of Barcelona. We met our tour at 9:00 am near the marina and they were efficient checking in a group of 40+ tourists and getting the tour started. Our guide was knowledgeable explaining the history of Montserrat and describing all the activities and sights we would see. Upon arriving, we had four hours to explore the basilica, eat lunch, visit the museum, hikes the mountain trails and enjoy the amazing views. Despite Friday afternoon traffic, we were returned to our meeting point at approximately 3:00 pm, concluding the 6 hour tour.

5.00Montserrat was amazing, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been too! This was especially due to our guide Marc (not Marco) who clearly explained the different walking routes which meant we could easily explore the surrounding area in the time we had. He was also especially kind and patient with latecomers and those with accessibility issues. Highly recommend!

5.00This tour is so well done - easy to navigate an otherwise confusing journey to hike Monserrat. Francisco (our guide) was AMAZING. Lovely history in the way up and suggestions for what do to next on the way down. Top tier in every way!
