You will live an unforgettable adventure from start to finish climbing the Barú volcano in 4X4 through Boquete leaving from 3:30 am to reach the top of the Volcano and see the most spectacular sunrise you can imagine.
You will appreciate the mountain range of the Central Mountain Range of Panama and you will also appreciate both oceans (Pacific and Atlantic) due to the narrow territory of Panama.
At 3475msnm it is the highest volcano in the southern part of Central America and the highest point of the Panamanian territory.

You will appreciate the beauty of the highest mountains in Panama above 3000 meters above sea level. along the way you will appreciate the lush vegetation and endemic animals of the National Park such as the Quetzal, Pajaro Campanero, Gato Solo, etc. When we reach the top by the narrow Panamanian territory we can appreciate both seas.

5.00This was a fantastic tour! Although I hated that 03:45 am pickup, it was totally worth it! The driver, Nestor Caballero, did an outstanding job getting us safely up and down the treacherous path…in the dark I may add. If you have back issues or get motion sickness, this may not be the tour for you. We were fortunate to have clear skies all morning which allowed us to have great views of the city at twilight, that spectacular sunrise, and the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. After the sunrise we were treated to a small breakfast. Please note that it is cold up there so dress warm and that there is an uphill hike from where the vehicles park to get to the highest point…so bring that inhaler and take breaks as needed. Also bring a bottle of water and toilet paper.

5.00This is an once in a lifetime experience. You feel like you're up on the clouds. Keep in mind that it is VERY cold up there so bring winter pants and coats. I really liked our guide, Leo. He was an expert driver and took good care of everyone.

5.00What an unforgettable experience! We left at 3am and were watching the sun rise from the peak of the volcano. They served coffee and fruit afterwards. Dress VERY warm! I’m from Canada and even I was cold in 3 layers and a scarf and hat. Our driver Ariel got us up and down the crazy road safely too!

5.00Fantastic tour to experience, OMG! Have to get up quite early in the morning but absolutely worth it. Big thanks to Melissa Miranda for bringing us up & down the vulcano safely, very skilled and adventurous. We enjoyed every moment of the tour. Tip for the next explorers, dress up warm it's so cold up there! So beautiful experience really!! Highly recommended

5.00I ended up being very unwell for most of this tour. Between traveler's stomach issues, and then car sickness, and then difficulty with the altitude, I was a mess! Rory was amazing, and went above and beyond to help me feel better and still enjoy the trip. So grateful for all his efforts!
It’s worth the early wake up—just do it!

5.00If you are near Boquete you have to book this tour! One of the most fun, thrilling and unique experiences our family has had. The ride with Jose was a blast and the sunrise at the top was spectacular.

5.00Amazing! I don’t particularly like waking up at 2:30AM for anything, but especially on vacation! This was so worth it, though. Our guide, Jose, picked us up at our hotel and the journey to the volcano’s summit began. It’s nearly two hours at a slow crawl up the rocky path to the top—in the dark!—but it’s really quite the adventure! Bumps, twists, turns—it’s all there, and without a cup of coffee before we left. The summit is breathtaking; the rains and clouds let up to allow us to see both oceans. The sunrise was covered by the clouds, but one gets the point! We had breakfast, prepared by Jose, overlooking the Pacific. Then it was back down the mountain, which is just as much fun as the trip up!
