• Great island tour with a local guide!

  Our tour guide, Magic, was great! He gave us a great overview of the island and its features, history and culture. Meet up was close to the cruise terminal and very simple to find. The air conditioned van was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the beautiful garden, batik demonstration (and shopping) at Romney Manor. The fort at Brimstone Hill was interesting with some great photo ops. There are quite a few steps (uneven stone stairs) to access the top of the fortress. Our entry fees for Romney Manor and Brimstone Hill were included in our tour charge and Magic handled all that for us with no expectation or hassle to us. I do not know if all tours include the entrance fees or processes. It was nice that it was all included. Timothy Hill was a stunning overlook and photo stop. We decided not to stay at the beach because the wind had changed direction and there was quite a lot of seaweed the day we were on the island. Magic had great, cold local beverages for us in the van (Ting sparkling grapefruit drink and a sparkling Pear option.) We were dropped off right at the cruise port shopping area to finish our day with some shopping on the way back to the ship with plenty of time.

  Our guide Peter was very informative. We went to the places described in the viator app but at the last stop we were supposed to spend 2hours, including going to the South Friars beach and this did not happen. We went to the Hill to see both Caribbean and Ocean seas for 20 minutes and back to the ship. We paid for a 6 hours tour and got only 3h30min. I would expect a cheaper price for only 3h not what we paid.

  Yvette was a great guide. She allowed us to choose our own itinerary which turned out to be perfect for us. Money well spent.

  Beautiful experience on the Basseterre Half-Day Tour. Our guide Elvis W. provided wonderful information during the drive around the island and at each site; and also allowed plenty of time for us to explore on our own at each location. We chose this tour over the cruise ship tours because there was more time at each location, especially at Brimstone Hill Fortress and Romney Manor. Our guide gave us a couple different options for our time at the beach and we were able to go to a beach where we could walk on the beach, dip our toes in the sand and water as well observe monkeys. We were so happy Elvis offered us the option to customize our day and spend less time at the beach and more time at Brimstone Hill Fortress and Romney Manor. We did end up having a private tour and loved the entire experience. Elvis was extremely knowledgeable of the island history, plants and wildlife; frequently pointing out interesting facts along the way. Timothy Hill was also a lovely place to view the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean come together.

  My husband and I booked this tour last minute and I absolutely had to come in and write a review as it exceeded our expectations and a lot of that was (in-part) because we had such an outstanding tour guide! Elvis was a wealth of information. He was so engaging and professional. From start to finish he was giving us so many facts and history of the area. His vehicle was clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. The half day tour was a nice balance of the fort, the botanical gardens/batik shop and ending up at a small local beach hangout. I am not a big tour person, but I really loved this tour and was so happy we did it. Great way to see a lot of the island, meet a wonderful local and enjoy a diversity of stops.   Peter was a wonderful tour guide! He was very safe driving. Gave us plenty of time at each stop. Gave us a really nice overview of different spots on the island. It was our first time and we think it was a perfect day!!! Highly recommend. It ended up just being the two of us. Way better than those super crowded tours.
