Hike the rice terraces with your tour guide whose family resides right at the rice terraces. With deep connections to the residents of Batad, Banaue, you'll get indepth knowledge about the life and history of this amazing historical place. Meet some of the farmers and artisan rice wine makers, and watch how the farmers process bushels of rice into ready-to-cook rice by hand and tools inherited from their forefathers. 5.00Had an awesome experience w/ Banaue Adventours! Highly recommended! Husband and wife team take excellent care of you and they know every nook and cranny of the Batad and Banaue terraces. They know everyone in the area so you're always treated like a local. If you want more than just a few pics and interested in exploring the area, definitely book a tour w/ them.

5.00Guide Miller is intimately connected to the land and culture here, being a FBI: full blooded Ifugao. I did the 3D/2N tour which took us through several villages with their own terraces. If you go in November, the majority of terraces are not at peak green but that doesn’t detract from the dopeness at all. Miller was attentive, entertaining, informative, skillful at his job. Days 1 and 2 were deep immersions that also included experiencing Tappiyah Falls; day 3 was lighter on the legs and included a road tour of other villages. Accommodations were at homestays, and meals were available for purchase. Getting to and from Banaue, on the other hand, might be a whole other adventure if you opt for a bus ride; research carefully. Mind also that the time around what the Christians call All Saints and All Souls Day is known as undas in the Philippines. That increases the odds of more traffic in a country famous for traffic. Private pickups are available fyi. November is also still rainy season in the country. Research your timing well. 100% recommend, maraming salamat Miller 🙏🏽💜

5.00I toured the rice terraces with my wife and two daughters. The guides were very informative and personable. The hike through the terraces and the accomodations were amazing. It was an overall great experience.

5.00We had an amazing experience visiting the Batad terraces in the Philippines. The landscape is simply breathtaking, a real natural gem classified by UNESCO. Many thanks to Miller, our guide, who was absolutely exceptional: warm, passionate, very professional and always attentive to our comfort. Thanks to him, this visit was even more memorable. We recommend 100%!

5.00Trekking through the rice terraces of Banaue and Batad was a truly unforgettable experience. Miller was a brilliant guide, sharing his knowledge of the culture and traditions of the area from his own experience of growing up in Banaue. It was wonderful to learn about this part of Filipino heritage. The trek itself is genuinely breathtaking. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Philippines!

5.00TLDR: the 9 hour bus ride to and from Manila is 100% worth it, and make sure to ask for Bridgette! An amazing two day trek hiking with some of the most incredible views I've ever seen. While May is one of the hottest months, it is worth it to see the terraces at one of their most spectacular points of the year. Definitely a lot of hiking so be ready with your best hiking shoes and plenty of sunscreen! Bridgette, my guide, was an absolutely phenomenal guide. She made sure everything was taken care of for the 2-day trek, whether it was making sure we always had a lunch packed to having a local tricycle driver on speed dial to transfer between the bus and hiking points. She also is genuinely one of the nicest people I've gotten to meet during my travels abroad - always making sure to hand out cookies to the local kids and rice terrace workers. She says it best: "Without those working, we'd no longer have the beautiful rice terraces", and she shows her thanks by always making sure to give back to her community.

5.00We had the best time on our 2 night, 3 day tour of the Rice Terraces of Banaue, Batad and Bangaan guided by Bridget. She was an excellent guide, as well as being patient and friendly, and always reminding us about water and suncream she had a very deep knowledge of the area, the way of life and the process of harvesting rice, having grown up in Batad experiencing this all first hand. As well as enjoying the challenging trek with its beautiful views, spending time in the villages, meeting people and learning about the way of life we had the chance to try preparing the rice from bushel to grain ourselves with personal stories from Bridget along the way. We booked through Miller who was always very quick to respond any time we got in touch answering any questions we had and ensuring we knew what to expect. We’d definitely recommend trekking the Banaue and Batad rice terraces with Bridget to truly understand and appreciate the beauty and intricacies of this region and its people.

5.00We had the most amazing experience trekking for 3 days in the rice fields from Banaue to Batad. Breathtaking sceneries and Miller was the best guide we could have wished for. He was very nice, attentionate, and helpful. He would adapt himself to our rythm and always made everything he could to give us the most pleasant experience, eventhough the hike could be challenging sometimes. Miller is a guide who will listen to your need before anything else. He also gave us a lot of explanations during the tour about the ricefield and the culture of the vilIagers. All this to say that I recommend going on this tour with Miller 200%.
