You will be collected from your preferred pick-up point in Bath and driven to your guide's favourite viewpoint overlooking Bath to give you a great perspective of the city. The tour continues with a walking tour of the centre of Bath. Your guide, who was born and grew up in Bath, will show you the city's famous landmarks and will tell you interesting stories about these and the city. You will also be shown the location of the city's hot springs. Some of the places visited on the walking tour are listed below.

5.00The points which we were taken to both view and learn about the City were amazing. Dan was fantastic, not only knowledgeable but personable with personalized information. The Bird flying experience was also something no one in our family would ever forget. Would highly recommend the entire experience.

5.00Interested in learning more about the area than reading or googling could have yielded, my daughter and I decided to tour the Avebury circle with Daniel, of Bath Insider Tours. In conferring with him, we decided to add some nearby landmarks, including interesting archeological sites, such as an ancient multi-inhabited tomb, unique mound, and an iconic chalk horse - fascinating places we never would have known to visit on our own. We enjoyed every minute. Our experience was greatly enriched by Daniel's local knowledge. Get Outlook for Android

5.00Daniel is an excellent guide, being a local, and took us on a very interesting, informative and enjoyable tour of bath as well as a fun and informative visit to a bird of prey conservation center, where we were able to "fly a hawk" as well as an owl. Highly recommend this tour to anyone lucky enough to visit Bath.

5.00Just finished a fantastic tour by Daniel. Daniel is an absolute expert on everything and we have learned so much and really enjoyed our trip with him. He went above and beyond time after time. Many laughs and smiles were had, thank you Daniel. Would recommend to all. The hawk experience is unlike anything else and you will learn a lot. This is a MUST do experience in my opinion.

5.00If you don't have this on your bucket list put it there. An amazing experience, having a large bird of prey come right to your outstretched hand and landing on your arm. It just cant be described fully enough. You will be so happy you tried this if you are any kind of animal lover.

5.00When my boyfriend said he had booked a walking tour around Bath for us I was a little hesitant; worried that it might be perhaps a little boring and/or an overload of information. I needn't have worried. Dan is a fantastic tour guide. His knowledge is amazing and the way he conveys it is even more impressive. He totally gets the balance right. He quickly picks up on what you will find interesting and tells stories with humour and passion. The time flew by!! Then to get out of the city and do the hawk flying was the perfect end to the day. Something totally different and as it had been booked for me as a surprise, something totally unexpected which I also think is what makes the tour so memorable. I can't recommend Dan highly enough. We'll definitely be booking another one of his tours in the future.

5.00Dan is no doubt one of the best guide we have experienced. We traveled with 2 kids and he has made the tour interesting for both the adults and kids. His backpack came prepared with all the small little items to surprise us. His knowledge of the city is unparalleled (this is my 2nd trip to Bath) and he really go out of the way to accommodate and help us. Even before we arrived, he is ready to answer some of our questions not related to our tour, calling up places to check on stuffs and even helping to check taxi rate. 1st class service and would highly recommend to anyone coming to Bath or area around it. Can understand why he is some highly rated.

5.00We had an excellent full day tour including Bath, Castle Combe and Hawk-flying! Our day started when Daniel picked my husband and me up from the cruise terminal in Southampton and drove us to Bath. We saw the overview of the city and then visited all the places seen from the hillside. We cannot say enough about Daniel's intimate knowledge of the city (being a native) and its history. His sense of humor and laid back style made the day a true pleasure!!! After a pub lunch, we did the hawk flying experience and it was truly a blast! Daniel took great photos that he later shared with us! We saw more of the gorgeous countryside and the charming village of Castle Combe. At the end of a very full day, Daniel dropped us off at our hotel in Burford. We cannot say enough good things about the time spent with Daniel! We highly recommend letting Daniel customize a tour just for you! He truly made the day perfect for us!

5.00I had only one day in Bath and I'm so glad I spent it doing this tour with Daniel. He picked me up at my hotel in Bath promptly for my afternoon Fly a Hawk Experience and Bath City Tour. We drove straight to West of England Falconry, and although it was too windy to fly the hawks that day, I was able to fly the owls inside their huge aviary, which was an amazing and unique experience. Jay, who runs West of England Falconry, was full of fascinating information about the owls and about the running of the sanctuary. Daniel took some fabulous photos for my on my phone, and even surprised me with a video of me flying two of the owls. Then Daniel drove us back to Bath for the city tour. Daniel's knowledge of history and anecdotes relating to Bath and environs is comprehensive. You will learn quite a bit during your tour. Yet he is so easy-going and personable that you'll feel like you're hanging out with a friend instead of being "guided," which is a lovely plus. I was quite jet-lagged and so Daniel kindly stopped with me for afternoon tea before continuing our leisurely walk through the highlights of Bath. Before our day was over Daniel also treated me to a snack of Bath specialty crackers with a history of their own, and delicious local cheeses, as well as a made-in-Bath chocolate bar! My afternoon with Daniel of Bath Insider Tours was truly a highlight of my two-week stay in the UK. I could not recommend Daniel and Bath Insider Tours more highly!

5.00We booked a City and Hawk tour with Dan. The hawk tour was one of the key reasons I booked with Dan, along with his local knowledge of the area. The booking process with Dan was smooth - he was prompt with my questions and provided excellent suggestions for other things to do with Bath. Dan was punctual and was flexible with the tour and can customize to your preferences. He made sure that we could still do the hawk experience and re-arranged the day to accommodate inclement weather. He is an excellent tour guide with in-depth knowledge of the area. He is friendly, courteous, and enthusiastic. Being on a private tour allowed us to see areas we couldn’t have seen on our own. Our children were engaged and especially enjoyed the hawk experience. Definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity. He offered to take photos while we were feeding the hawk. He brought us to a fantastic location for lunch with a fantastic veg menu. (The view was unparalleled.) I highly recommend Dan for an exceptional tour of Bath.
