  The driver is nice and Vanessa they have a farm and they help animals from the street dogs and cats we help them with some money for the help The beach was nice we had the best sunrise I will post same pictures

  It was an amazing experience. Took care of us from start to Finish. Jose and Juan Carlos were absolutely outstanding. Would recommend every time I visit the island.

  The excursion was lovely. We did horse riding through the woods and by the beach. Rode around the town. Went to a farm where they had chickens and cats cacao, mamajuana, ect it was amazing the tour guide was good. Drove around in a Mercedes and it was a small group. Lovely people

  wascar perez the driver he is amazing they showing us how he new farm, they rescue animal like cats and dogs and they have a doctor to take care of them , we really want to come and help next year. the tour was amazing and the beach was pretty

  Signed up for a horse back ride, but recieved a first-person experience as the main characters in a horror/thriller movie. The logistics of transportation and the tour made my wife and I felt unsafe, which put us on edge the entire excursion. Everything that could of went wrong, did go wrong on the excursion. The logistics of transportation was unorganized/uncoordinated. First, there was confusion on whether we get picked up at our resort lobby or the security gate. Second, we were told they are changing our driver 30 minutes before our pickup up time. Lastly, our driver stopped on the side of the road at a beat up location next to another van. This is where it all went downhill fast from our perspective. Due to language barriers and no communications, we genuinely felt like we were being kidnapped. We were told to go into the other van that we stopped next to. Meanwhile, the drivers were exchanging large sums of cash infront of us. This situation put us on alert for the rest of the trip. We drove off with YET ANOTHER NEW DRIVER as our stress levels rose. There was temporary relief as we picked up another party and drove towards the "ranch". Total trip time for us was 1 hr. As we arrived into the "ranch" our stress began to rise again. The ranch was a small cocoa/tobacco farm with a beat up shack with a mini gift shop. At this time, we have not met our tour guide yet. As we were shepparded to the shack, we were offered coffee and a local drink (mamajuana). But due to our transportation experience and stress, we were suspicious that the drinks were spiked. We were somewhat relieved when our driver also tried the drinks. Our tour guide arrived shortly after. This is where another mistake occurred. The horses were supposed to be at the ranch at arrival, but due to backend miscommunication, they were located near Macao Beach. So, we were driven to the parking area at Macao Beach. We arrived to the beach parking area and met up with the tour guide and horse handlers. Our driver drove away in a hurry. The handlers put me, the other man, and two women on the horses, leaving my wife and a teenage girl on the road. Now, the tour operation realized they made another mistake, since they were missing a horse for our party of 6. The tour guide and horse handlers were haggling, meanwhile all of us were confused and stressed. The surrounding was not welcoming as there were men in vehicles just watching us. Our thoughts of being kidnapped resurged. There was some relief as the parking area had people coming in and out from the beach. We were told to get off our horses as they figured out the situation. The horse handlers walked the horses towards the beach. Momentarily leaving us all confused on the side of the road. The tour guide and handlers walked away while we all stood next to the road like lost prey. Eventually, the tour guide waved us to come to the beach. After many chaotic minutes of discussions with the tour guide, horse handlers, and horse owners on the beach. Our party of 6 got on our horses. The time is now 6pm, while we booked the tour for 4:30 pm. We had a short 1 hour "tour." The beach was beautiful. It was during golden hour, the waves were hypnotic, and there was a rainbow. The horses riding experience on the beach momentarily made us forget about the miserable/scary situation prior. At the end of the tour, we were riding along a road. We weren't told ahead of time of our route, so again, thoughts of being kidnapped resurfaced. We were relieved to see the ranch that previously caused us concern. The tour guide refunded 100% of the cost due to the chaos. The refund prevented this review from being 1 star. The tour guide was as pleasant to us as possible as he was handling the chaos and making sure we were OK. His words brought some calm to us throughout the experience. Throughout the tour, he assured us this was the first time this chaos has happened, as we all voiced our displeasure of the unorganized experience. The transportation back to our resorts went smoothly. What a relief.

  Where to start...completely confusing and ever changing pickup instructions...complete lack of actual, or appearance of safety. Very few of the handlers (which included kids as young as ten) spoke decent enough english. They insisted my 9yo daughter could/should ride on her own despite being a first-timer. Her feet didn't even reach the stirrups and there was nothing keeping her on the horse besides sheer luck. At one point her horse took off galloping and I had to scream to get someone's attention to catch up and stop her horse. The beach is full of trash the entire way...if you don't look down I suppose it's pretty. After a couple short laps up and down the beach, we sat and waited without instructions for 25 minutes, before again, in indiscernable english, they asked us to get back on the horses to take them back to "el rancho". This was another 45 minute ride in which we were clearly tasked to commute the horses back home for the night, through the random concrete back streets of town at dusk...no idea where we were, who we were with, or where we were going. Not the remotest sense of personal safety. At one point, the leader pulled my horse from an off-street wooded area onto a sidewalk, which crushed my leg and arm between the horse and a telephone pole...I'm all scraped up to show for it. The prize for surviving this journey was an offer to buy the photos they took for $120 USD! It's implausible that these Viator reviews are authentic. Frankly, it's scary that Viator even sponsors excursions without verifying some minimum level of safety and accuracy.

  Great time, driver was friendly, kind and trustworthy. as were the other workers. The horses are nice and the trail was great.

  Amazing experience, worth it completely. The tour guides were great and the ranch is great! If you are coming to Punta Cana and want the most authentic experience that is worthwhile do this excursion.
