Embark on a cruise, enjoy the spectacular Lake District landscape from the water.
Visit Hill Top farm, Beatrix Potter’s former home, and see the landscapes that inspired some of her books. Entrance to Hill Top farm is included, however when Hill Top is closed customers will visit The World of Beatrix Potter. (Hill Top is closed on Friday's outside UK school holidays and November - February).
Continue on to the charming medieval village of Hawkshead, where poet William Wordsworth attended school, and then through the beautiful landscapes of the central lakes with lake and woodland views. Learn more about the much-loved children’s author from your knowledgeable guide.
This tour has attractions worth £32.50 included in your ticket price. Lake Cruise RRP £17.50 and Hill Top £15.00

Please note, the pick up location you have chosen is where you will be collected from. It is not possible to be collected from a different location once chosen. If you are not at the correct pick up location and miss the tour, we cannot offer alternative arrangements.

From start to finish, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the Lake District and Beatrix Potter’s world. His commentary brought each place to life — from the charming villages to the beautiful landscapes that inspired her stories. Tim made sure everyone felt comfortable and never rushed, and he added so many personal touches and insights that made the day feel extra special. The lake cruise was stunning and such a peaceful way to take in the scenery. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip — thank you, Tim, for a magical and memorable day in the Lakes! 🌿🐇✨

5.00We had the best time! The cruise on Windermere was beautiful. We went in October, so it was chilly but fun. The tour of the house and surrounding area was amazing. I loved that you could tour the home and spend some time in each room. Mr. McGregor's garden was big and so beautiful.

5.00Oh I loved this tour so much! Our tour operator, Stef, was kind and thoughtful, and even recited a poem to us.. and he knew so much about Beatrix Potter, and was even able to show us scenes from the books that were near Hill Top Farm. He made a couple of stops for us to take photos and filled us in on the geology, and agricultural of the area , including information on Sheep raising! Just a great tour!
