Beaufort town located on Port Royal Island remains the Queen of South Carolina Sea Islands with its charm, natural beauty, fascinating history and rich, diverse cultural heritage.
On this 1.15 hour driving tour, we'll explore the historic district of Beaufort, including the famous Old Point area and The Bluff with its antebellum houses and churches, all from the comfort of our air-conditioned vehicle.
As we drive around town, your guide will introduce you to some of these beautiful and historic sites: See historic townhouses up close and learn about the architecture and the folks who built them. Discover what happened to the houses and people of Beaufort during the Civil War Union Occupation. See the movie sites made famous by over 24 Hollywood films that were shot in Beaufort and the surrounding areas. 5.00Heather; Our Tour guide began our tour by going back to 1861, The civil war era. She was a very passion narrator about the events and the people in the time. After giving us an overview, we visited many of the sights she described. The Robert Smalls house, The Harriet Tubman statue, the Military Cemetery. Of Course, the Big Chill house and other more contemporary sights. We loved Heather and recommend her tour. The next day, we borrowed the bikes provided by Anchorage 1770 and took a leisurely bike ride around to to revisit and rediscuss all the homes and historic spots that Heather previewed for us. Thank you Heather. Best city tour ever.

5.00Heather our tour guide was FANTASTIC! She was fun and animated and told really terrific stories. She made sure we were engaged and comfortable. The bus was comfortable. We saw so much and learned so much. I highly recommend any tour that Heather does.
