A guided visit to the biggest Kamnik's brewery, one of the most successful Slovenian craft breweries. A visit to the production with the brewer, with beer tasting and a hearty snack.
An hour up to one hour and a half of guided visit to the Maister Brewery by one of the brewers or brewery staff. Detailed walk through the production with explanation. Tasting of at least 5 different samples of beer accompanied with the traditional Kamnik sausage or vegetarian/vegan alternative.
This is the only regular brewery tour in Kamnik where you can join a tour no matter the size of your group or if you come on your own. Beside the exclusive tour given by one of the brewers, you also get to taste a generous variety of beers and a delicious snack. A must visit for everyone in Kamnik on a Thursday!

A guided visit to the largest brewery in Kamnik and one of the most successful breweries of Slovenia. You will be guided around by one of the brewers and will have a generous beer tasting with beer snacks. The brewery is named after Rudolf Maister, the liberator of the Slovenian northern border, who is for sure Kamnik’s most-respected citizen of all time. The day of his birth is a municipal holiday in the town. Maister Brewery does justice to his name. This brewery is located in the heart of the city, just a stone’s throw from Maister's birthplace. At Maister Brewery, the greatest Slovenian general finally got his own beer. A sip of General Maister beer will march three divisions of cascading hops and a special Citra unit through your palate. More great Slovenes adorn the labels of other beers brewed here. A rocket engineer will awaken your imagination, you will fly on the wings of an aviation pioneer, and even indulge in the creative verses of the first Slovenian female poet.

5.00Very nice experience and the beers are great! On a rainy day, the guys from the brewery let us taste some od their beer even before the tasting started! Even vegan options!

5.00My boyfriend and I went to see the brewery and taste some beer, but we got so much more. Janez, the owner, was an amazing guide who really knows what he's doing. You don't just get to walk around the brewery, but you also learn everything about the beer making process in detail. You also learn the history of the micro brewery and, of course, taste many delicious beers. You also get a very hearty and delicious snack. It should be no surprise that we also bought some beers to drink at home. We might return in the future for more good beer and vibes. A strong reccomend!

5.00We were welcomed at the brewery by the owner, who showed us the whole beer making process and much more. We also tasted a wide variety of beers and got some very good local snacks. I would definitely recommend it.

5.00Went here two weeks ago and LOVED it. We had a tour of the Maister Brewery with the owner, ate some food, and learnt a lot about the history of craft beer in Slovenia and Kamnik. The beer was amazing, and also got to try some new flavours they are testing. Would really recommend for anyone visiting Slovenia to try.

5.00I participated in this friendly visit to Kamnik. Super accessible downtown. The brewery staff was very friendly and available. Full information about the brewery and its context, generous tasting accompanied by local sausage and cheese (vegetarian option too). A beautiful gourmet experience in the pretty city of Kamnik!

5.00My husband and I had a great time visiting microbrewery via BEER WAY. The owner was really great. I usualy do not drink beer, but after his carismatic aproach to us and all the explanations what it takes to make a great beer I tried a few and they were great. I admit, the tasting of carniola sausage and cheese meanwhile helped I were not too quickly too dizzy ! :)
