Taking a tour of the Forbidden City with our English-speaking tour guide will be the most rewarding travel activity during your stay in Beijing. Our experienced tour guide will spend 3 to 4 hours exploring. we will also explain China's history and culture to you, including the construction history and historical background of the Forbidden City, as well as the stories of the emperors who lived there.
If your booked itinerary includes the Tiananmen Square option, we will provide you with the reservation service for entry to Tiananmen Square.
Before the end of the tour, Our guide will give you the information to anywhere you want or give you a suggestion for a great place to visit,such as JingShan Park located behind the Forbidden city. Or the way to the Tiananmen square.
The tour package includes admission tickets. (However, if you book the tour less than 7 days in advance during peak season, you may need to wait in line to get tickets with your passport on the day of the tour.)

The Palace Museum
We will explain clearly China's history and culture to you, including the construction and historical background of the Forbidden City, as well as the stories of the 24 emperors who lived there during the Ming and Qing dynasties. There are stories about the life of Puyi, the last emperor of China. The story of Reginald Fleming Johnston, a Scot who lived in the Forbidden City, and the story of how the Forbidden City was opened to the public and transformed into the Palace Museum after the fall of the Qing Dynasty. As the Palace Museum celebrates its centenary from its establishment in 1925 to 2025, we hope to have the opportunity to show you the charm of the Palace Museum in Beijing.
Jingshan Park
Before the end of the tour, your guide will give you the information to visit JingShan Park by yourself which is located behind the Forbidden city. From there, you can climb to the top of the hill to see the panoramic views of the entire Forbidden City and the old urban area of Beijing.

5.00The guide was very helpfull and explained in details many aspects of the buildings and of some of the main figures that lived in the palace. I also liked the indications about the simbolic meaning of architectural elements of the palace. Overall a very positive experience.

5.00We visited the Forbidden City with a guide called Alex! He was amazing and very knowledgeable. Alex also had a perfect English. The tour lasted around 4 hours and the guide handled the ticket admission. Alex had been recommended to us by friends and I would now also recommend him for sure!!

5.00We had an excellent tour of the Forbidden City with Alex Zhang as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about the emperors, architecture, and the history behind the palace, which really brought the place to life. Alex was also very organized and knew the best routes to avoid the biggest crowds. What I appreciated most was how thoughtful he was - he provided headsets so we could hear him clearly at all times, even in noisy or busy areas. He was friendly, patient, and happy to answer all of our questions. I highly recommend Alex Zhang to anyone visiting the Forbidden City who wants a deeper, more enjoyable understanding of this incredible site. Thank you for making our first visit to China a memorable experience.

5.00Alex Zhang was amazing. He educated us about the Emperors and gave great visuals! He knew shortcuts …was so patient and kind! He made our First visit to China an Awesome Experience. He provided us with head set so we could hear all the wonderful educational cultural stories! He always looked out for us …and felt so taken care of!
