Tickets to the Forbidden City require a real-name reservation 7 days in advance and are easily sold out, so you are advised to book the tour as early as possible. Otherwise, international travelers will need to line up at the entrance to buy tickets.
We offer free pick-up within the Third Ring Road of Beijing, beyond which there will be an extra charge, so we suggest you book centrally located downtown hotels. Please get ready at the hotel lobby at least 5 minutes in advance of the pick-up time confirmed with you a day before. No-show is non-refundable.
Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name tickets. Make sure to carry the same identification when travelling; otherwise, you’ll be refused entry by the scenic areas.
Group Size: About 12 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 12 people but we’ll make proper arrangements.
Departures are guaranteed with two persons from Mar to Nov and three persons from Dec to Feb.
Since the Forbidden City is closed on Mondays, we’ll arrange Summer Palace instead of Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City.
Visitors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan must book at least 7 days in advance, and the name to reserve their tickets online should be in Chinese characters.

My parents are older people and my dad has some mobility issues but Murphy did a great job in taking care of us and making sure my dad could participate in all activities. Great insights to the visit and along the way. Great command of English and in managing all group dynamics and logistics, which was super helpful at all stages of the tour.

5.00Our Great Wall tour with Rocky was excellent and one of the best experiences of our trip. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall was absolutely beautiful, less crowded, and very enjoyable. Rocky was a super friendly, professional, and helpful guide throughout the whole day. We also really enjoyed the Forbidden City visit, the tea ceremony experience, and the lunch was surprisingly very good as well. Everything was well organized and smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour and especially Rocky as a guide!
