  Summer, She was an excellent guide—very friendly and always attentive. She explained the entire history of China to us, and we chatted about our home country, Puerto Rico. Her English is perfect; ours is not, as we are more fluent in Spanish. Nevertheless, she always found a way to help us and ensure we understood one another. She was very kind and helpful; we recommend her without hesitation. She was fantastic!

  Summer and Sunny were fantastic! Sunny planned out the itinerary and travel arrangements which made the travel easy. She kept regular communication and answered any questions. Summer is a wonderful guide! She has so much knowledge of China and the Great Wall and made the experience wonderful.   Absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. The entire day was extremely well organised. I was a bit worried about the train stations because I struggle with navigating through foreign stations, but this was no problem at all. We were told exactly where to go and what to do, and were even led directly to the terminal. Summer was truly amazing and made our experience unforgettable. She was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond, especially when helping us translate in restaurants etc. This day trip is well worth the money. Yes, it’s a long day with a lot of travelling, but it doesn’t feel too bad since you’re sitting down for most of the day, and the experience more than makes up for the travel. I would highly recommend taking the toboggan back down, this is one of my favourite highlights.

• Quick one day trip to the Great Wall

  This was a one-day trip from Shanghai to Beijing to visit the Great Wall and return the same day. Our day started early with a 5:40 a.m. pickup from the hotel. From there we were taken to the train station to catch the high-speed train to Beijing. Once we arrived in Beijing, we were met at the station and driven to the Great Wall. We spent about an hour and a half exploring the wall before heading back to the Beijing train station for the return trip to Shanghai. We arrived back around midnight. It’s definitely a travel-heavy itinerary, but if you only have one day and visiting the Great Wall is on your bucket list, this is a great option. Our guide, Summer, was fantastic. During the drive to the wall she shared a wonderful overview of the history of the Great Wall, which made the experience even more meaningful. She also guided us to a less crowded section of the wall, and at times we had areas almost entirely to ourselves—perfect for taking breathtaking photos. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience. Thank you, Summer, for making this such a memorable day! ☀️

  From start to finish the tour was well organized, efficient for the time we had available, with clear communication by the tour organizers. We chose this tour as we wanted to visit the Great Wall during our short 4 day extended transit through Shanghai. While it was a long day, it was well worth the time and money spent to optimize our time. Starting with the pickup from our hotel, all the way until drop off back at the end of the evening, we were met with kind drivers and guides to escort and assist us every step of the way.   We booked this trip as we had a very limited time in Shanghai, and the booking process was very good as Sunny kept in touch to keep us informed of the weather and travel requirements. We chose to travel first class on the Bullet train, which was very comfortable and worth the extra cost. It is a long day starting at 06.50 and returning to our hotel just after midnight. From start to finish, we were looked after with pick up from our hotel lobby, taken to the station, and shown to our seats on the train. The journey travelling at 350 km/h was very smooth. Upon our arrival in Beijing, we were met by Summer, our guide for our trip to the Great Wall of China. Summer was fantastic, she was very knowledgeable about the history of the Great Wall, and was very helpful in taking pictures of my wife and me. We stopped for a quick lunch at Subway before taking the cable car to the top (if that's not your fancy, there are other options available to eat). Summer made sure we went to the best places to get the most amazing views for photographs. We were there at the end of January, so it was very cold, so be prepared with warm clothing. After we had seen the best of the views, we returned down to the starting point on the open ski chairlift (there is another option for returning down by toboggan if you are under 60 years old). We would highly recommend this excursion for those on a tight schedule. It was worth every penny. Summer was a great guide and got us back to the station in Beijing and on to our train back to Shanghai, where we were met again by our driver, who returned us to our hotel.   We really enjoyed our trip to the Great Wall! Definitely worth it if you have a full day available from Shanghai. Everything was handled smoothly and efficiently, from door to door. Our guide, Summer was really lovely. She talked about the Great Wall during all of its various changes during the different dynasties and how each area was built and the stories behind it all. Quite interesting to hear & learned somethings along the way. Everything from the train to the tobagan - was handled with care. We will see you again, Summer!
