This Beijing layover tour offers two tailored packages for your Mutianyu Great Wall adventure: a private transfer-only option, or a guided experience with a local storyteller. Departures and returns are available from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) or Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX)—please choose the option that best suits your needs.
Mutianyu Great Wall
After meet driver or guide, you will hop aboard your private, air-conditioned vehicle and relax. The journey takes about 1.5 hours from PEK or 2–2.5 hours from PKX to reach the Mutianyu Great Wall. Once you arrive at the Great Wall, your driver will assist you with ticket arrangements, then wait for you at the parking lot for your return. Depending on your flight schedule, your driver will advise you on the exact return time to ensure you make it back to the airport punctually. Of course, you can add on a friendly guide service upon booking. Your guide will hike the Great Wall alongside you, sharing fascinating histories and stories of this iconic landmark every step of the way. Whether you choose the driver-only package or the guide-inclusive option, your companion will always plan the timing around your onward flight, guaranteeing a stress-free adventure with zero risk of missing your plane.

5.00This tour was amazing! I wish I could remember my driver's name, because he was wonderful. It was absolutely freezing outside,.and thankfully our driver had jackets for us. Additionally, he gave up bananas and oranges to snack on, as well as bottled water. He walked us through so that we knew exactly where to go, and even had us pose as a group and took pictures for us! By request, we were picked up at our hotel, and then dropped off at the airport to make our flight. With limited time, we were able to see the Great Wall of China, grab some food, and catch our flight. I highly recommend this tour!

5.00Miko was our personal tour guide and was great. Having a personal tour after a long flight was just what we needed to get the most out of the short time we had and his personal service took all the stress away. The Great Wall was amazing, his knowledge made it all the more interesting and we wouldn’t have been able to find and order such an authentic Chinese meal without him. So thank you Miko, it was a perfect start to our holiday!

5.00Lin Da was our driver for a recent round trip between our Beijing hotel to Mutianyu Great Wall. She was professional, punctual, and friendly. Her command of English is strong enough that she answered all our questions with no problems. At the entrance she helped us purchase the bus tickets and the lift/tobaggan tickets. She even noticed that one of my son's shoelaces had come undone and tied it for him before we started our trip up! We recommend Lin Da highly to those seeking a private transfer.

5.00We had an amazing day trip with LinDa to the Great Wall. She was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She spoke English very well too. We actually got lost in the Beijing Airport and LinDa was patiently waiting for us even though we were half an hour late! We would highly recommend this company and suggest you request LinDa as your driver. Thank you for an wonderful tour LinDa!

5.00Amazing day trip with Wang. Spoke relatively good English. Took us through the gates and purchased our tickets making sure we knew where to meet him and where we were going. Great as you have 2 choices of basic lift and toboggan or gondola lift up and down. Was an amazing day and glorious weather.

5.00Absolutely and fully recommend this service. We arrived around 6 am to PEK airport from Hawaii and expected to be ready after immigration inspection and passport control around 8 am, it not happened, it was 6 hours ! of waiting 4 hours in a line for 24 hours stamp and other hours for pass control, but driver and the agency were gorgeous. After booking this trip they wrote us to contact them in case of more time needed, so around 8 am that day we absolutely exhausted agreed on 10 am, guess what, we had to move the time once more and finally ended around 12 /-. The agency was still very nice even we had to move time 3 times, driver was supernice and cool, took our luggages, no stress nor punishment. Whole trip he was carrying our luggages so not necessary to use airport storage service. We also asked to be taken to some food place, so right next to The Wall enter is great place to eat, drink or relax. Wang hope we remember name correctly is really good guy who helped a lot and made our trip even more great, because we never visited Beijing before and had no idea what to expect. Everything was clear and smooth, and we saying big 'Thank you' again 'Hello' from our city back home, Prague Czech Republic. If ever come back, we will contact you again, we felt really safe and comfortable with you.
