Mutianyu Great Wall
The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is about 70 kilometers from downtown Beijing, It takes about 1.5 hours by car. Compared with Badaling Great Wall, Mutianyu Great Wall tourists are relatively few, you can enjoy the scenery more calmly here, take photos, will not be too crowded, can get a more comfortable and comfortable tour experience. 5.00Booking the tour turned out to be a stroke of luck. We decided to book spontaneously, even though we had originally planned to explore the Great Wall on our own. We changed our plans due to problems with the in China common payment app and thus it wasn't certain that we could pay for the bus from the city centre to the Great Wall. Now, about the tour itself: We were picked up from the hotel right on time and greeted by an incredibly friendly tour guide named Angie, who proved to be really dedicated and knowledgeable. She did not only inform us about the sights as such, but also answered all our questions on Chinese culture and lifestyle. Although the tour was a bit more expensive than some others, it was worth every penny. We received personalized attention, didn't have to endure long queues – it's worth noting that all the tourist attractions are overrun with local tourists – and were able to decide for ourselves how we wanted to reach the wall -on foot, via cable car or chairlift - customizing the itinerary on the spot. We took the chairlift and went down on the toboggan which turned out to be real fun. Angie also took pictures from the best spots for and with us on her personal phone and then sent them to us. Before visiting the Summer Palace we again tailored the tour to our needs. Angie agreed to working longer that day adding another sight (the Temple of Heaven) to the programme for which we could spontaneously pay an extra amount to cover the additional costs (time, driver, guide, tickets). At the end we even received a present each - a pendant with an elephant - which will always remind me of the great day we had.

5.00Linda suggested us to leave early for the Great Wall. And it was the best decision to avoid crowds and see the Great Wall peacefully. The driver was very helpful and did his best to make the trip convenient for us. The car is nice and new. We had a great time. Thank you!

5.00First of all I thank Linda for validating my reservation for the next day, just 11am before our departure, thank you for her efficiency for finding us a driver for our day at the Great Wall Mutianyu and Summer Palace. Everything went very well with our personal driver, Joe for our day. Thank you for his punctuality, kindness and attentiveness throughout the day. Joe's conduct is calm and we feel safe with him. Change program, visit the Summer Palace first which is a good idea, because after we arrive at the Great Wall pile hair for lunch. Then Joe drops us off for lunch, then access to the Great Wall Mutianyu. All the ticket bookings are very well organized by Linda and Joe, just the Waiting time for the entrance to the sites, which we are lucky because not long at all. On the way back to the hotel, we talked to Joe at length in English and French, even though he has to use Google Translator. We paid Joe at the end of our day, whose rate was clearly set by Linda in advance the day before. (No surprises) I obviously rating our driver Joe and Linda with 5 ⭐️
