Baatara Gorge Waterfall
Baatara Waterfall, also known as the Baatara Gorge Waterfall, is a breathtaking natural wonder located near the village of Balaa in Lebanon. This stunning waterfall plunges 255 meters down into the Baatara Pothole, a limestone cave known as the "Cave of Three Bridges" due to the three natural bridges that span the chasm. Discovered in 1952 by French bio-speleologist Henri Coiffait, the waterfall offers a unique and awe-inspiring sight, especially in spring when the snow melts and the water flow is at its peak.
Akoura Lake is a serene and picturesque lake situated in the Akoura region of Lebanon. Nestled amidst the mountains, this lake is surrounded by lush greenery and rugged cliffs, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and hikers. The tranquil waters and the stunning backdrop of the surrounding landscape provide a perfect spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. An OK day out of Beirut.

3.00Overall, our party felt that it was only OK, for such a long drive. We have to say however that the Baatara Waterfalls were really worth it. You must take the time to go down next to the gorge into which the water falls to appreciate the beauty. As for the Akoura lake, we were not able to go very high because of snow on the road, therefore we probably missed out on the view of the many artificial lakes. The time spent in Batroun was mainly to have lunch. We went to the Phoenician wall and walked a few minutes. Our driver was very friendly. However, based on the tour description and inclusions listed, we were under the impression that a professional guide was included. The driver did not provide much information along the way, or while walking across a historical town such as Batroun. He mainly drove us to the locations.

5.00I can highly recommend the experience and Alfred, our guide, was friendly and very knowledgeable. The view of the lakes was amazing from the mountain top. We could also see a herd of sheep being watered. We then went on to the waterfall, I recommend good shoes the stone can be slippery. Finally we went to Batroun. We had great lemonade, saw beautiful sights and learned about the history of the city and Lebanon.

5.00Our tour was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Ahmed was incredibly sweet, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. He showed us around with so much care and enthusiasm, it honestly felt like he was taking us to paradise. We had a random craving for shawarma, and he took us to the best spot ever. When we mentioned wanting to do some shopping, he knew exactly where to go for great deals and hidden gems. He really listened to what we wanted and made it all happen seamlessly. Can’t thank him enough for such an incredible and personalized experience. Highly recommended!

5.00Beautiful day trip to Tanourine and the amazing Belou3 bal3a. The ride to Akoura mountains was so refreshing and absolutely breathtaking. The scenery was out of this world. Our tour guide Ahmed was so adorable and attentive and was very informative. He even recommended an amazing lunch place in Byblos. Overall a must tour if you are visiting lebanon.
