The Belfast Eclectic City Center Walking Tour is the most popular experience along #theMartiWay. And covers the History, of not only the period known as the Troubles, but also the Architecture, Street Art and People, and everything from it’s Industrial Heritage to it’s modern day Hi Tech and Advanced Engineering. Leaving from Belfast City Hall and ending in the Cathedral Quarter. We will discover some of the Belfast Buildings along the way that make the city such a beautiful and unique space.

You will hear of the colourful history that has shaped this part of the Island of the Island over 9,000 years. You'll also discover some of the famous local People and what they are remembered for. Hear of things invented here. And of other things to do and be entertained by, while in Belfast and Northern ireland. You will hear of its past history, its present innovation and future redevelopment .

After meeting at City Hall this walking tour will be an introduction to what else to see and do while in Belfast some of which is free when opened. You'll hear of great places to wine and dine in the cities best gastro bars and resturants and hearing a description of where Belfast came from and get a background of how the period known as the troubles are a part of the birth of Belfast. You'll hear of its past history, its present innovation and future redevelopment . And then we set off to discover some of the places and people you've just learnt about in the introduction to the tour. Passing the Titanic Memoral Garden as we strowl into the Linen quarter to reach our next stop.

A first visit to Belfast with my partner I was fortunate to find myself on an in depth walking tour with the Marti Way. What an experience. A font of historical knowledge, Marti tailored our tour to give a true sense of Belfast, past, present and future. Keeping his tour party small it felt like a stroll around the city with a mate. Marti delivered it in an honest but ultimately positive manner. Thanks again Marti and I’m sure our paths will cross again on our next visit.

What can I say about this lovely man. His knowledge of his city is second to none. This is not your average tour , so much more and personalised to what you want to do . We spent 4 hours with marti, and felt like we were with a friend. We shared beer and chat along the way and learned and saw so much of this beautiful city that marti is filled with hope for . Would definitely recommend. Thanks marti. See you next time.

Yet another great experience. This is the second time that I took the tour with Marti. Last time was with my family and this time was to introduce a friend to the city. Marti tailored the trip, going out of his way to focus on areas important to us. As a Belfast native, living abroad for my adult life, I am delighted to see the progression of my home city. I am sure this is not the last time that I will be on the Marti Way! I recommend for all.

***An Unforgettable way to understand Belfast*** The Belfastology Eclectic Walking Tour was hands-down one of the highlights of my time in Belfast. It's not just a walking tour - it's storytelling, history, humour and local insight all woven together brilliantly. Marti our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and refreshingly honest, bringing Belfast's complex past and vibrant present to life with warmth and wit. We covered politics, culture, music, and street art. The tour helped us understand the history, fascinating local anecdotes you'd never find in a guidebook. We had many laugh-out-loud moments. Marti always ensured everyone was enjoying themselves and answered questions. The tour felt authentic, respectful, and he was deeply rooted in the city. If you want to actually understand Belfast - not just see it - this tour is an absolute must. I'd recommend it to anyone, whether it's your first visit or you think you already know the city. If you are looking to discover a different view on Belfast other than The Troubles history then this is for you. Marti was a great in weaving us through the city for 3 hours and providing history bits that linked Belfast to its past, what is going on now and how its sees it future. We are started at City Hall and finished in the Cathedral Quarter where the arts scene is alive and well. Thanks Marti!

Marti was a warm and welcoming tour guide who was clearly very attuned to the various interests of those on the tour. We particularly enjoyed the thoughtful way the tour was put together, which was evidently a blend of typical stop offs and areas he felt would interest the group. Marti pointed out lots along the journey and built up the story of Belfast in an in-depth but very accessible way. During the tour Marti took us for a brief stop to a traditional pub called The John Hewitt, which we were delighted to discover was hosting a traditional band that evening. We returned to the pub to enjoy the music, which really put the icing on the cake of a wonderful day. Thank you Marti and all the best ☺️

Marti's tour challenged what I thought I new about the troubles. His attitude of hope and positivity for the future underpins all the "information " he provides throughout the tour. Very thankful to have chosen this tour, Marti loves his city and Belfast deserves to be loved it is a wonderful place!
