  This was by far the best walking tour I’ve ever been on. Steve was an outstanding guide. He was both incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely engaging. His explanation of the Troubles went beyond just recounting events; he carefully unpacked the historical and political context, which made the conflict much easier to understand as a whole. What really stood out was his passion for the subject. you could really sense how interested and invested he is in the history he was sharing. He also struck an excellent balance between humour and sensitivity. Given the seriousness of the topic, he approached it with the respect it deserves while still keeping the tour interesting and accessible. We were taken to all the key sites, and at each stop he provided clear, detailed explanations of what happened, including insightful interpretations of the murals. I also appreciated how he connected the Troubles to wider global conflicts, showing its continued relevance today. It added an extra layer of depth that I did not expect. On top of that, Steve was very attentive to the group’s needs by regularly checking in to make sure we were comfortable, warm enough, and offering breaks when needed. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in understanding the history and complexity of the Troubles. It was the most informative and impactful 3 hours of my trip here!

  Fantastic tour, our guide Steve covered an immense amount of complex history as we walked throughout the city. We walked away feeling the weight of the events that had happened and a much better understanding of the troubles. The experience really made our trip to Belfast impactful. Thank you Steve!

  This was a thought proving tour about the troubles walls & bridges in Belfast; outlining past troubles, how it is currently and hope for the future. So much information - Arthur is an amazing font of knowledge, personable always ready to answer questions and clarify points. Would recommend this tour to anyone with interest in this area so much is not disclosed via media, it is through the people of Belfast you understand better.

  Steve is a very informative tour host and a generally nice bloke. Having Irish parents I turned up to the tour with previous knowledge of the Troubles, however Steve still managed to educate and surprise myself and my partner. The tour is a slow pace, which allows a mixed ability to navigate it comfortably, whilst covering enough ground to be interesting and a good pace. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

  I dont usually book experiences on airbnb however I'm so glad I booked this! My partner and I had a tour with Arthur on a drizzly Sunday a few weeks ago and it was the highlight of our trip. As someone who didn't know much about the troubles, Arthur broke down the history and told his stories with such character and humour for me to understand. What a warm, genuine human being. It felt like spending the afternoon with a friend. It was balanced, personal and also looked at modern day life and where Belfast is now. Arthur wanted to know about us throughout and we felt like he really cared about us. He was happy to answer any questions. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone and have already spoken about it to friends and family members. We were debating at first whether to do a black cab tour but prefer walking. We were also sent an email with information & videos he had referenced throughout the tour so we could do more reading about it at home. It was lovely to meet you Arthur. Thank you for the tour!
