Troubles Tour: Walls and Bridges is one part waking tour, one part street theatre and 100% astounding. It entertains, engages and informs using original songs and experiences to help you better understand day to day realities during the Troubles. It brings to life the history of the troubles and the eace process but does not do so in chronological order. This tour provides an immersive experience with a mix of educational material and theatrics. Tour participants will visit local political murals, peace walls, and will even have the opportunity to listen to an original song that tells the story of the turbulent times in the area.

This tour will provide participants with a deep and unique understanding of the region's conflicts and peace contributions. Not only will people learn history, but they will also gain insight into the culture and the people. What a tour. Our guide Steve was so great and so much information. I didn't realize that there was still so much divide in Belfast. STRONGLY recommend doing this one if you're visiting Belfast.

Fantastic tour Steve our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Ireland and the troubles. The three hours flew by. The walking was at a gentle pace and Steve took us to many of the areas that we only heard about on the news and really brought the areas and the incidents to life. The ‘peace’ walls are not to be missed and the memorials and murals created by both sides are both informative and haunting. If you do a troubles tour I thoroughly recommend that you do this one

Very interesting and informative tour! 3 hours flew by and at no point did it feel overwhelming or tiring. Steve was very approachable, knowledgeable and easy to listen to! Highly recommend :)

We had an excellent morning with a wonderful knowledgeable tour guide (Steve), would highly recommend. We were so well informed throughout the 3hrs we spent walking through Belfast's troubled past. On a practical level, it's a long walk so wear comfortable shoes & dress for all weather!

Exploring Belfast can feel like peeling back the layers of a city that holds its stories close, so I booked the Troubles Tour: Walls and Bridges hoping for something deeper than the usual sightseeing. Arthur, our guide, was the kind of person you instantly want to follow through a city — warm, lively, and wonderfully funny in that dry Belfast way. He had us laughing one moment and quietly taking in the weight of history the next. It never felt scripted. Instead, it felt like walking through Belfast with someone who has lived its story and wants visitors to truly understand it. We wandered past murals, peace walls, and neighborhoods that still carry the imprint of decades of conflict. But what made the tour special was Arthur’s ability to present the Troubles with honesty and balance. He talked about political tensions and community trauma, but also the humanity, resilience, and even the moments of ordinary life that persisted through it all. Absolutely amazing tour, would recommend this to anyone visiting Belfast, so knowledgeable and full of facts. Really interesting and taken from both sides. Steady pace did not feel rushed and was open for us to ask any questions.

Steve delivered a captivating presentation of The Troubles and it was obvious that he was not only well read, but also conditioned by his personal experience growing up through those times. To be able to walk through history with someone who has lived through it (let alone someone as articulate as Steve) was a surreal experience that has broadened my understanding of the human condition.
