5.00This easy bike tour was definitely one of the best parts of my Taiwan visit. The description of being great for designer-lovers, foodies, and off-the-beaten-path appreciators was spot-on. I loved seeing everyday life from a local's perspective, going through different neighborhoods, seeing the works of rising artists, learning about architecture and history as it relates to contemporary life, and trying delicious foods. All of the food I tried was worth writing home about: southern style savory pancake, light roast coffee, fresh fruit, noodle soup with chopped century egg. The hilltop view was a perfect rejuvenating spot. Tony is your in-the-know, hip friend showing you around to everything cool that isn't crowded. I'm a casual commuter cyclist, and the Surcle e-bike was a luxurious ride – it proved to be nimble and very easy to ride even through busy, narrow, market streets.

5.00Tommy was a great guide. Stopping at key places and offering valuable information about each point of interest. The food was truly local Taiwanese and tasted great. Recommended for anyone who wants to see the “real” Taipei.

5.00Thank you Tommy for a wonderful day! It was so exciting to see the city this way. The Ebikes were super comfortable and easy to ride and the four of us were well taken care of (there will be busy streets) with several surprises along the way. My teen boys enjoyed the experience of discovering new tastes and sights with Tommy. He will be your good friend by the end of the day and you can tell he truly enjoys every minute of showing us around. I would highly highly recommend !!!

5.00Magical day! VERY local breakfast, lunch and snacks (made the veg for me). Well designed e-bike so you can get a workout or turn it up to 3 and break no sweat. My group was perfect (3 other attendees). I learned a lot about the history and saw some places I didn’t see in the guidebook. Definitely recommend.

5.00This isn’t just any bike tour. The bike itself is an experience which made this standout to me in unexpected ways, making it one of the TOP highlights of my travels to Taiwan. Anyone with love for cycling should 100% sign up and experience a smooth ride on a styling minimalist e-bike. Now that my praises for the bike are out of the way, Tommy, our host was truly our best friend for the day. We covered a lot of places, hidden gems, EXCELLENT food, local sights, true Taipei living culture. I’d have not been able to experience and explore such beautiful places on my own. And the ride itself was wonderful, safe, well directed. Taipei is super flat so it doesn’t exert any stress. The bike is great, I already mentioned that! The whole thing is worth every penny. Tommy’s company is memorable. Just make sure you are well rested before this tour, not jet lagged, that way you can be more engaged because it does demand full energy, not just physical but mental and social as well.

5.00An aptly named review! I had an awesome time on this e-bike tour with Tommy. He’s very easy to be around — personable, smart, and approachable. He knows Taipei really well, and was happy to chat about anything. He met me (a group of one) in the rain and STILL took me on the tour. The guy has got character. We covered a mix of local neighborhoods, markets, and food spots that I certainly wouldn’t have found on my own. To me, this was a near perfect tour. I learned a ton while not feeling overwhelmed. Not just facts, but feelings and perceptions. It felt less like a “tour” and more like spending a few hours exploring the city with a very knowledgeable friend. Very good value for the cost. Highly recommend this if you want to see a more local side of Taipei. Finally I feel I need to give a shout out to the bikes themselves. They’re made by one of Tommy’s companies, SURCLE, in Taiwan. Extremely well designed - smooth and lightweight. Made the whole ride feel effortless. I’d buy one if he'd ship to NYC! Thanks again for a great morning.

Tommy was amazing, taking us to many different view points and sharing food experiences with us, not to forget great coffee stop too. Although these tours seem expensive, we think our experiences gained made it well worth the money. We would highly recommend

5.00Tommy, the owner and creator of these out-of-this-world e-bikes, led our small group on an amazing tour of Taipei — showing us sides of the city you’d easily miss if you stuck to the usual tourist routes. It was such a friendly and personal experience, visiting some of Tommy’s favourite local spots and seeing the city through his eyes. His enthusiasm and local insight really shone through, allowing the group not only to learn about Taipei but also to get to know him and his passion for the city. I honestly can’t recommend this tour enough! If you’re in Taipei and have the time, book this tour. You don’t need to be super fit either — the e-bikes are effortless and make the ride a breeze. It’s easily one of the best bike tours I’ve been on in all my travels around this rock in space.
