  We were flying home from the Galápagos Islands and decided to add an extra day to explore Guayaquil, and we’re so glad we did. Our guide, Antonio, made the tour a truly enjoyable experience. The itinerary covered the city’s main highlights, including the Malecón 2000 and Las Peñas, and Antonio shared fascinating insights about Guayaquil’s history, culture, and everyday life. He also recommended several places to visit on our own after the tour, and we ended up exploring them and enjoying them a lot. One thing we especially appreciated was the flexibility. We had booked the tour for 9:30am, but woke up to rain and contacted the agency hoping to reschedule. To our surprise, they were able to move the tour to a later time, which allowed us to enjoy the experience with beautiful weather. Overall, the tour was well‑organized, informative, and a great introduction to the city. Highly recommended.

  

  

  

  

  

• Great intro to Guayaquil

  My wife and I took enjoyed our half-day tour with our guide Francisco. We visited many of the key sites in the city, as Francisco gave us an overview of the history of the city and region. We also learned about many of the trees, foods, and other resources that contributed to Guayaquil's existence and growth over the years. It was surprising to see various animals, including iguanas, herons, egrets, and other birds around the city. Francisco tailored the tour for us to take the gondola across the river and back, past the historic and ornamental cemetery instead of ascending the hill with 440 steps. Overall it was a very informative and enjoyable four hours!

  We had such a wonderful time on the Best Highlights in Guayaquil tour. Everything was well organized, but what truly made the experience special was our guide, José Antonio. He was friendly, attentive, and full of knowledge about the city’s history and culture. From the iguanas at Parque Seminario to the beauty of the Cathedral and the charm of Las Peñas, Toño made sure we didn’t just see the sights, we understood their meaning and felt connected to the city. He kept the pace comfortable, answered every question with patience, and even added little stories that made each stop memorable. Walking along Malecón 2000 and climbing up to Santa Ana Hill were highlights, especially with Toño pointing out details we would have missed on our own. This tour gave us a real sense of Guayaquil, and we left with great memories. Highly recommend this experience , and if you can, ask for José Antonio.

  My husband and I as well as two other couples went to the Galapagos Islands earlier this month. We spent two nights in Guayaquil and did the tour “2025 Best Highlights in Guayaquil” with our guide Francisco. He was an excellent guide and spoke English extremely well! In addition to being very friendly, well-spoken and knowledgeable, he went above and beyond to assist one of the men in our group who was unable to go on the tour due to an infection that appeared overnight in his leg. In the hotel lobby, Francisco contacted a local doctor, Dr. Ricardo Calle, for us who met our friend at the hospital and was with him for several hours getting tests done. Francisco kept in touch with the doctor during our tour via WhatsApp so he could update the group on what was happening at the hospital. When we returned to the hotel after the tour, our friend had just returned as well. Dr. Calle actually drove him back the hotel and asked the front desk to get the prescriptions filled for him which was done immediately. The Wyndham Hotel was excellent with their assistance as well. We highly recommend Francisco, the Wyndham Hotel and Dr. Ricardo Calle if you are in Guayaquil, Ecuador!

  I had a great city highlights tour of Guayaquil today. Julio was friendly, knowledgeable, and really flexible about shaping the route around what I wanted to see. The pacing was just right: not rushed, but we also didn’t linger too long anywhere. Cesar was an excellent driver and the vehicle was comfortable, and pickup/drop-off were smooth and easy. We covered several key spots around the city, and riding the tram was a fun, relaxed way to take in Guayaquil with some great views. Highly recommended.

  This was a very enjoyable walking tour. Our guide, Simon, spoke perfect English and was extremely knowledgeable about the area. Simon was very friendly and made our first time in Guayaquil very memorable. We'd highly recommend Simon for an English-speaking tour groups!

  On this tour Julio and Julio junior (the driver) have worked hard to show me the most beautiful and hidden gems of this great city, with a lot of patience and sharing many interesting anecdotes. In addition to the car rides, we also walked pleasant stretches of the Malecon, Barrio Las Peñas and more. I also got to see an iguana up close for the first time. Thank you! In the picture you can see the two nice guides. One thing though: try to book for at least 2 people. The price for a single person is almost the same as the total price for two. I find it a bit much!

  When traveling to the Galápagos, we decided to add an extra day in Guayaquil and booked a city tour so we could make the most of our time and feel confident we were in safe hands. The experience did not disappoint. Francisco was an exceptional host—welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful. He shared the city’s history, customized the tour to match our interests, and made the day feel both relaxed and engaging. He also provided excellent restaurant recommendations that we truly enjoyed. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone heading to the Galápagos who wants to see more of Ecuador but may feel hesitant. Thank you, Francisco, for an amazing day!
