Budapest

This full-day tour of the mighty Danube is ideal for people who want to combine history with nature and would like to enjoy some of the most beautiful countrysides in Hungary. You will see historic monuments and art memorials while your guide provides a lively narrative of Hungarian life.

Esztergom

At Esztergom, the northern gate of Budapest, you will pause at the largest cathedral in the country and see the burial sites of famous cardinals as you gaze across the water towards Slovakia. Cross the river and border into Slovakia to see the stunning view from the opposite side. You will visit the city Visegrád where you will learn about life in the Middle Ages while enjoying spectacular views of the Danube Valley.

Szentendre

You will stop at the artists' village in Szentendre, a baroque city located where the Danube River meets the Pilis Mountains. Wander the narrow streets to soak up the magical atmosphere and catch panoramic vistas of the river. Browse the shops of the village before the return journey to Budapest.

Esztergom

Explore the beauty of the Danube Bend by visiting Esztergom, Visegrád, and Szentendre, three enchanting cities along the river. Immerse yourself in picturesque sights and delve into Hungarian history while tracing the "Blue Danube." The journey promises an unforgettable experience, culminating in a boat tour back to Budapest. Discover the rich cultural and scenic tapestry of these historic settlements, creating lasting memories along the iconic Danube River. It used to be the capital of Hungary and is still the center of the Catholic Church. We visit the largest cathedral in Hungary (also the burial place of famous cardinals, like Primate József Mindszenty). Afterward, we drive across the river to Slovakia and enjoy the view over the Basilica.

Visegrad

After the Mongol invasion, a new fortification was constructed here in the mid-13th century. The top of the hill offers a fascinating panorama of the Danube valley.

Szentendre

It is a small baroque city built on medieval ruins, located at the gate of the Danube Bend. The town is considered to be the Artists' Village or the Painters' Town. We walk around the historical center and enjoy the cobblestoned narrow streets as well as the baroque houses. After the guided tour you can also visit some museums (for example the famous Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum with marzipan figures).
