Ujung Water Palace

Taman Ujung is the water palace built by the last King of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Djelantik in 1919. The architect was a Dutch van Den Hentz and a Chinese Loto Ang. This development also involves the Balinese architect. Resting in the vast pool is a series of intriguing, romantic pavilions linked by bridges, archways, and a shaded avenue of mango and fangipany trees. The grounds destroyed in the explosion of nearby Mt. Agung in 1963 and further ruined by an earthquake in 1979. The government and royal family have since restored Taman Ujung. Wander into the rooms of the palace itself, or climb the terraces for a bird’s-eye view of the grounds. And while you may be the only tourists around, you’ll probably catch a glimpse of newlyweds posing for wedding pictures. Taman Ujung is so beautiful that has caught the eye of many a fanciful Asian brides.

Tirta Gangga

In the middle of rice fields and surrounded by jade green hills, Tirta Gangga nestles peacefully and timelessly. Tirta Gangga is a royal water garden of the Karangasem royal family consisting a fabled maze of spine-tingling, cold bathing pools and basin, spouts, tiered pagoda fountain, stone carvings and lush gardens showcasing a blend of Chinese and Balinese architecture. The watergarden was constructed in 1948 on the initiative of the King of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. Before the water garden was constructed, the spring was already there, which was used by the people to fulfill their basic needs for water but also it was believed to be sacred water to purify any bad energy around the area.Taking a relaxing walk or dipping your feet into the cold water is as enjoyable as taking some snapshots of the picturesque scene.

We had such amazing day doing this excursion. Visiting all this Beautifull monument was just special experience. Everything was explained to us perfectly and in details and we where lucky cause our Guide BAYU is amazing photographer so we took advantage of this situation and have millions of amazing pictures/memories. I recommande 1000% this tour and specially this person to drive you around We learned a lot that day from our guide Thanks again BAYU

I would recommend this tour to everyone, it was beautiful and our driver who is as well tour guide is wonderful. He explained and showed us everything and was taking incredible photos of us! Highly recommend!

We went with Bayu in the early morning from Seminyak. He picked us up at our hotel and then we we were on our way to see all the temples and sights along the eastern side of this beautiful island. It is a long drive, but definitely worth the time in the car. Taman Ujung water palace was our first visit and was extraordinary beautifully. Tirta Ganga Temple was our second visit and was also an incredible experience to see. Bayu has a lot of knowledge about the temples, history and culture, which were so nice to learn about. Our last stop was the Lempuyang Temple (gate of heaven) which was also very nice, but were a little crowded, as there are many people who want to take a picture. There is a waiting time before you can take the famous picture, which you should be aware of. Overall such a great trip with many good memories. Thanks again Bayu 🙏🏼

Bayu is an excellent and very nice guide. He helps us for everything, trying to find the best spot to show us. He knows a lot about his island and give us the best time for our first day in Bali. Thank you so much Bayu for your kindness, your help and the visit.

If you are looking for a memorable tour in Bali, look no further! This was hands down our favorite part of our trip to Bali! Our tour guide, Bayu, was the best and the tour very organized. He picked us up on time in a clean, air-conditioned car with water bottles for all. Bayu is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The highlights of the tour were so interesting, iconic, and beautiful and Bayu knows alot about them (and can take wonderful pictures for you, too)! Great Memories,thanks Bayu!
