Our tour guide was extremely well versed in Gaeta’s history & historical significance in unification of Italy in the 1860s. The views from the castle overlooking the ocean were spectacular. All churches mentioned in Trip Advisor write-up were seen from exterior only as none were currently open. We did tour the castle - an old prison to criminals including German war criminals. We were introduced to tiella - a local fish pie (amazing) & gelato (of course) There was much more walking than anticipated including very steep hills & steps.,

Bruno was the most amazing tour guide! We very much enjoyed meeting him and the tour! We would definitely tour with him again!
