This tour will introduce you to local Tirana and its traditional food and cuisine. Tirana, an urban metropolis full of contrasts, in which the scars from the past and the present coexist. It is a city where the fine delicate art of the beginning of the 20th century is mixed with cold rectangular shapes of the communist period, and in between, modern new buildings bloom.
In this one-day tour, we will discover some of the most interesting parts of the city combined with a lot of local flavors, interesting stories, and friendly locals. And of course, all of it while tasting a flavorful mix of Albanian cuisine with more than 5 different stops.

After the pick up the first destination of the tour will be one of very few least typical breakfast restaurants, or “Mengjezore”. It is where we will have the chance to taste “Pace” a traditional thick, spicy soup made of cow head or bone marrow. Located at the “Bicycle Market”, a very typical local neighborhood this Restaurant, since 2004 has kept alive the tradition of “Breakfast Restaurant” and Pace.
Pazari i Ri
After an energizing breakfast, passing by the “New Bazaar” we will get introduced with some of the most typical Albanian Fruits, vegetables and souvenirs. The area of the New Bazaar is one of the most interested in Tirana, Shortstop in a Local Pastry. From 1998 they are bringing the same recipe of the Merengue Cake. For the owner, all started as a good memory from childhood happy days.

5.00I enjoyed the whole tour and our guide Aron was so helpful. He provided a plethora of information about Tirana’s history. The tour was wonderful and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Tirana. The foods we tried were also interesting and delicious.

5.00What an amazing food tour! Aaron was absolutely full of interesting facts and an in-depth knowledge of Albania‘s history and politics. He also made the tour extremely fun and we had so many different local food specialities that he was able to explain in detail. Had so much fun and the meal at the end felt like a meal with friends. Beers and raki included too!

5.00A worthwhile tour. You get the feel of the city and culture, along with lots of tasty food - some of which was previously unknown to me. Aron is personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour as a great introduction to the surprisingly cool and interesting city of Tirana.

5.00A terrific walk through Tirana. Viewed many important Albanian cultural, historical, and government buildings. All of the food stops included examples of traditional foods. They were interesting and very tasty. The last stop included a number of courses. The grilled meats were delicious.
