One full day of pleasure! E-bike from gorgeous Moana Beach to McLaren Vale. Spend the rest of the day being guided in style to the best wineries, breweries and distilleries in the Vale

This is far from just another wine tour; it's about me sharing with you the place I love and introducing you to my friends. If you love it half as much as I do, you're going to have an awesome day.

Lunch is part of the tour but not included in the price. When I contact you, I will provide you with options. You may just wish to bring lunch, or you may want to go somewhere quite fancy; I'm easy.

There are now 2 options to choose from (I will contact you after you book to organise). Option 1: Meet me at 41a Third Ave Moana and we will ride from Moana Beach to McLaren Vale (see itinerary below) Option 2: I can pick you up (1 location) and we will begin the e-bike ride in McLaren Vale. The only difference with the itinerary below is that there is no winery before lunch. • 9am: Meet at 41a Third Ave Moana for group debrief (guests make own way to Moana) • 9:15 am: Ride to McLaren Vale on E-bikes. • 10:00 am: Coffee stop in McLaren Vale. • 11:00 am: Wine tasting. E-bikes stored on trailer so no one loses their drivers licence! Tour proceeds on mini bus. • 12:30 pm: Lunch. • 1:45 pm: Wine tasting. • 4:30pm: Tour ends. No matter which option you choose, I can drive you back your accommodation (1 location).

Tour style: Morning is spent on the E-bikes and afternoon is spent in the van visiting the best boutique wineries in the Vale.

E-bike tour from Moana to Vale

Details: Meet at 41a Third Ave Moana and take a leisurely E-bike along the Shiraz Trail from the ocean to the vines.
PICKUP NOT INCLUDED
Duration: 8 hours
Lunch: We will organize in advance where you’d like to go. Lots of choices (not included in price).
Tour style: Morning is spent on the E-bikes and afternoon is spent in the van visiting the best boutique wineries in the Vale.

What an amazing day!! Beginning with a cycle through the beautiful vines of mclaren vale was the perfect way to start the day. The e-bikes made the cycle so relaxing and allowed us to take in the beautiful scenery. Luke knows the area so well and was able to adapt the bike trail to suit all levels of cycling experience in the group. The wineries Luke took us too were a great mix, each one feeling like we were being welcomed by one of Luke’s friends. It was a great day! I would highly recommend the e-bike/winery tour to anyone wanting to soak up the beauty of the Vale.

This wine tour was the best I’ve experienced so far! Riding the e-bikes through the vineyards was an absolute highlight. Luke’s knowledge of local establishments and the warm welcome he receives from owners and winemakers is a testament to him and his passion for people and wine. I highly recommend these tours - I didn’t want the day to end!

A fantastic tour with knowledgeable and fun host Luke. No better way to explore the beautiful McLaren Vale region! The e bikes were so fun and a great way to see the vines before settling in to some wine tasting and lunch! Thank you Luke!

There are 2 elements to this trip - ebiking and wine tasting Ebiking - bikes were in good shape. This portion was a means to get to the McLaren Vale. Nothing too memorable (except for the kangaroo skipping along beside us as we entered the vineyard!). If you are looking for a bike trip through the rural roads and vineyards this isn't it. Wine tasting - without giving too much direction, Luke put together a great experience. A great selection of 4 wineries (plenty for us) giving a great variety of experiences, and good wine! Danshi Rise was a special experience. Luke - great host. Knowledgeable. Informative. Engaging. Good fun.

Luke was very easy to communicate with. I had a quick trip to visit Adelaide and he helped whip up an itinerary and was flexible as was temperamental weather. Unfortunately one of us couldn’t use the e bike so he followed the rest of us and took her on the bus. The bike track allowed me to see the Mclaren Vale in a way I hadn’t seen before. Beautiful tracks and the bikes were fun! I’d never been on one before

We did the e-bike and winery tour with Luke and had a fantastic time. From the moment we met at Moana to the time we were dropped home, the hospitality was second to none! The scenic ride from Moana to McLaren Vale was very relaxing as the e-bikes made it a fun and enjoyable experience, with no hard work! Luke’s knowledge of the area was very informative and the places that we visited had a warm and friendly atmosphere. Luke’s rapport with all the business owners was outstanding. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend Gone AWOL Tours. It’s something different, give it a go - you’ll love it!

Luke was an unreal tour host. The knowledge he has of the local region and the rapport he has with the local winemakers is second to none. He went over and above to ensure that our day was as good as it could possibly be. Overall it was an experience I will never forget and I will definitely be back again.

Superb wine tour. Luke tailored the experience to our group and the types of wines (and gin/beer!) we liked. Starting the day with an e-bike ride to McLaren Vale was unique and set the tone for a fun and adventurous day out. Each of the wineries Luke took us to had really interesting and delicious wines making for a phenomenal day out. We ended up buying wine from everywhere we visited! The day finished perfectly with a cheeky G&T at local brewery/gin distillery. Luke is awesome. Highly recommend this tour.

Had an absolute blast on this tour. Luke from Gone AWOL was fantastic! Visited some hidden gems in McLaren Vale that offered such superb wines. A lot of fun and well worth doing. Look forward to organising another tour soon.
