  It was a much better experience than expected. I’ve seen Niagara falls before but have never experienced under the falls, the maid of the mist boat ride or the skylon tower. Now I feel like I’ve truly seen the falls.

  Our experience was absolutely amazing. Vince is a phenomenal guide and added such a personable touch to our experience. We were picked up at our hotel exactly on time. We hit three main stops, Journey Behind the Falls, Skylon Tower, and the Boat Tour. But we also had fun little informational stops on the way to our destinations. We had plenty of time to see things and shop around. Our tour started around 1:30pm and ended around 5:30pm. Everything was such a beautiful experience. Highly recommend!

• Dangerous, abusive driver ruins amazing fall experience

  The guide and experience at the falls was five star, but the journey there and back was dangerous and stressful. The driver was constantly texting and doing social media on his phone while driving. Do not get into a van with a guy named Gezim, if this company hasn’t fired him yet. The driver almost ploughed into cars in front twice because he wasn’t paying attention. After the second time, I called him out on his illegal driving and texting. He was verbally abusive when challenged about his constant phone use. He also kept putting his window down on the freeway, making the girls in the van cold and hurting all our ears with the wah-wah vibration of the air. The third time someone asked him politely to wind up his window he lost it, started being abusive to me (because I was the one who called him out on his texting), and pulled over to the side of the freeway saying he was going to call the police (what for, we weren’t sure). I called the travel company, See Sight Tours and calmly explained the situation. The driver realized what I was doing and started driving again. The See Sight rep took down a few details and said they would call me back. They never did. The driver then deliberately drove slowly for the rest of the journey, doing 65km/h in the middle lane with his blinkers on as other cars whizzed by (also dangerous driving), some occasionally honking their horns and gesturing at him. It was very weird and everyone in the car was scared at what he might do next. I had to give my wife my coat as she was so cold, sat behind the driver and getting the full force of the air from his window being open. Nobody spoke to him for the rest of the journey, about another hour (because he was driving so slowly), for fear of enraging him. So we just hoped we would make it to Niagara. We finally made it to the Skylon tower where he refused to drop us at the door and made us get out and walk through the car park. He was rude to my wife as she got out of the car, and told her that her “husband had better watch his mouth.” Very bizarre. He drove off with the doors of the van still open. At the tower, we were greeted by the guide, Kelly, who was surprised he hadn’t dropped us in the right place. She was horrified to hear about our experience and arranged a different driver to take us back later that day, but no compensation or other recompense was ever mentioned. Everyone was shaking from the experience: the two of us, and a guy from New Zealand and two women from Mexico that we met in the van. We all felt traumatized. The tours of Niagara were great. Kelly was a great guide. Very friendly, and we didn’t have to wait in any lines to get into attractions. Then came the ride home, which was also a nightmare. The driver didn’t know where we were going. He had the wrong address entered into his Google Maps, drove out of the way and was getting ready to drop us at some shopping mall somewhere. We had to tell him we were still 45 minutes or more from our destination. Traffic was bad. But our journey back to Toronto from the falls was unnecessarily long because the guy (nice as he was) didn’t know where he was supposed to drop us. The journey took 3 1/4 hours in total. What could have been an amazing day was marred by a driver with anger issues and a social media addiction, and another driver who didn’t know what he was doing. We got a story out of the experience, but we would never do this again.
