It was a great experience. Although the area of Pisa in the tour is small there is so much rich history in one place. The monuments are really spectacular in person. Our guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand. She also kindly helped us reach out to our taxi when we didn’t have signal to make sure we didn’t miss our return ride.

Carolina, our guide, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also had that rare ability to explain matters in an interesting and engaging manner. The tour commenced with intriguing information about the construction of the Tower, and was followed by the Duomo with insights into many small but easily missed details. The Campasanto was next, again with informative detail, and then the Baptistry, precisely timed for the daily demonstration of the acoustics of the building. Finally, back to the Leaning Tower, where, having arranged our entry, we said goodbye to Carolina before the long, hard climb to the top. Difficult, but the views were fabulous. Thanks for a great time.
