This is Port of Spain’s only food tour. It’s a journey into the real heartbeat of the city.
We begin in the lively downtown area, strolling along the Brian Lara Promenade where everyday life unfolds around us. As you sample popular street foods made by local vendors, your guide shares stories of the city’s rich and diverse past, from African, Indian, Chinese, and European influences to Carnival traditions and independence.
Your 3.5-hour experience also takes you to uptown Port of Spain, where the iconic Magnificent Seven, a row of elaborate colonial-era mansions, show off the city’s architectural history and wealth from the late 1800s.
You’ll also pass major landmarks like the War Memorial, the peaceful Botanic Gardens, and historic places of worship that reflect the island’s deep religious and cultural diversity.
This tour connects you to the people, history, and food that define Port of Spain. Come hungry for flavour and insight, you’ll leave with both.

You will be walking through a small portion of downtown Port of Spain where the new mixes with the old (19th-century chic mixing with 21st-century functionality). Along the way, you will hear about some of the fascinating historical facts about this city, including where the Abolition of Slavery Act was read in 1834.
Queen's Park Savannah
Your next segment of this tour takes you to the uptown part of Port of Spain where you will be driven even deeper into our history via 19th Century buildings (known as the Magnificent 7), the Botanic Gardens and the Queen's Park Savannah; said to be one of the world's largest roundabouts.

5.00Port of Spain is not a tourist town. But Anthony gave us a spectacular tour and food tasting -- in less than 4 hours. His car is comfortable and air conditioned, and he gets you around to see the sights, all while giving you a wonderful overview of the history and culture of Trinidad and Tobago. And he stopped at the best local places to try popular foods -- like Doubles, pies, chocolate, pone, and more. And he taught us how to order and eat them as well. Wish we had booked his evening food tour too. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour, and Anthony. He knows his stuff and he communicates very, very well.

5.00Anthony is just absolutely the best. He is *extremely* knowledgable and eloquent and kind, and gives a great overview of Trinidadian history, culture and also food. I'd highly recommend this comprehensive tour for anyone looking for a lovely day with a terrific guide.

5.00Americans, don’t be afraid of Trinidad! If you are coming in on a cruise ship I highly recommend Anthony’s tour! We now understand the rich culture in Trinidad and got to experience areas only a local could be familiar with. And the food! Thank you Anthony, for showing us your beautiful country and giving us a taste of the local cuisine. An absolutely fabulous tour.

5.00We had a full day tour with Anthony covering the North, West and Center of Trinidad and had an amazing time. The tour included some sights we wanted to see but also other sights Anthony recommended. Anthony is very knowledgeable, friendly and humorous guy that offered us a great day. I can only recommend him and his services to those looking for a guide in Trinidad.

5.00This was our first time in Trinidad and we were a little wary of what we would find. We shouldn't have worried. Our tour guide Anthony was early and waiting for us at the port with a welcoming smile. We started off with an interesting walk around the newer parts of Port of Spain and then jumped in the air conditioned mini-bus and moved on to the historical area. He was great company for me and my wife and we laughed more than any trip in the next two weeks of our Carribean cruise. It's a great introduction to Trinidad and if you choose this tour ask for Anthony. Hes a lovely man and you won't regret it.
