Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon
Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, built in the late 1880s by French colonists, is one of the few remaining strongholds of Catholicism in the largely Buddhist Vietnam. Located in Paris Square, the name Notre Dame was given after the installation of the statue ‘Peaceful Notre Dame’ in 1959. In 1962, the Vatican conferred the Cathedral status as a basilica and gave it the official name of Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. Measuring almost 60 metres in height, the cathedral’s distinctive neo-Romanesque features include the all-red brick façade (which were imported from Marseille), stained glass windows, two bell towers containing six bronze bells that still ring to this day, and a peaceful garden setting in the middle of downtown Ho Chi Minh City District 1.
Saigon Central Post Office
The Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh is a beautifully preserved remnant of French colonial times and perhaps the grandest post office in all of Southeast Asia. Located next door to Notre Dame Cathedral, the two cultural sites can be visited together and offers visitors a chance to imagine life in Vietnam during the times of the Indochinese Empire. The building was designed by Alfred Foulhoux and features arched windows and wooden shutters, just as it would have in its heyday in the late 19th Century.

5.00Class act. Very professional and great communication. Booked tour since had great reviews. However the cruise ship canceled the port. After quickly communicating a refund was promptly given. Wish we could have made the tour.

5.00Our guide, Evelyn, was excellent. Took us to all sorts of interesting places at a pace that suited us. Also great food and drink advice in fascinating restaurant and cafe (with a surprise!) Driver was also great, negotiating the traffic and being there with a cool car when we needed it.

5.00We had a fabulous day tour of Ho Chi Minh with our lovely tour guide Linh. Linh was waiting with a hand designed name sheet just outside the entrance to the Cruise Port. She welcomed us warmly and took us to our 4 x 4 vehicle with driver. The entire tour was designed around our interests . Linh is extremely knowlegeable and fully fluent in English . She is friendly and accomodating , ensuring we were made as comfortable and happy throughout. We visited all the points of interest as shown on the itinerary, but in addition to this , she also helped us with local souvenir shopping and took us to a local restaurant for lunch. I highly recommend this tour and particularly Linh who made the whole day so enjoyable. Also many thanks to our fantastic driver who ensured our safety at all times .

5.00Stopped in Ho Chi Minh n a cruise today and hired Minh as a tour guide. He was fantastic. Spent the right amount of time explaining the culture and history for us as well as guided us to the top sites we wanted to see. Only wish we had more time on our day with Minh!

5.00Our guide, Anna, and driver, Tien were kind and unhurried. Anna prioritized our interested and changed the order of our tour to better fit our schedule. She was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. It was a fun-filled, full day. Highly recommend!

5.00Due to our ship having to make a last minute port change, we had to cancel. We were very, very happy with the responsive of this company. We are sad we could not make the trip.
