There is so much beauty on the Cape Peninsula and any visit to Cape Town should include a day exploring the beautiful coastline. We are Cape Town locals with a love for the natural environment and we try to incorporate this element on our tours! If you want to include a hike instead of spending any time at other sites such as Kalk Bay and Simon's Town then please book our other tour "Cape Point Nature Tour & Hike (Private)"

Kalk Bay Harbour
Depending on weather and time of year we may simply drive through Kalk Bay without stopping, or sometimes stop in at a cafe for a morning coffee or grab a takeaway Fish & Chips for lunch at the harbour.
Jubilee Square & Jetty, Simon's Town
We drive through Simon's Town in order to visit Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, although some days we may visit Jubilee Square and the Just Nuisance statue on days when we have lunch at a Simon's Town restaurant.

5.00I loved to walk with Mark, one of the owners of this special family business. We hiked the Lion’s Head early in the morning and he knows everything about hike and nature. We walked all around the mountain and saw all the views of Cape Town, during the hike. It’s was so amazing and lovely. Everybody has to hike this mountain. I will keep this beautiful moment in my heart forever! Thank you, Treks and Tours. 👣 🌍🙏🏻

5.00Mark took us to see the penguins and then for a walk along the shipwreck trail. The penguins are a must. The beach walk is beautiful and was totally deserted other than lots of interesting birds. Mark is a top class guide having worked in conservation and national parks for many years. He is also excellent company. Thoroughly recommended.

5.00I found Mark online, read reviews and reached out to him. This family run business helped me put together the itinerary of peninsula tour and Lion's Head hike. Mark has years of experience in this field, and made our peninsula tour very successful. we were very impressed. Mark's wife Lindsay is kind and prompt in responding any communications. We also had their son Justin guiding us to Lion's Head Hike. Justin has a passion to nature and he explained things to us like 'detail oriented'. They are reasonably priced and flexible in payment options. We were really impressed by their passion to nature and knowledge of the local area. Kudos to Mark and family. I strongly recommend you connecting with him if you're considering vacation in Cape Town.

5.00Mark is a great tour guide! It's so wonderful to have a private guide who's flexible and who notes what your passions are so they can customize your day. That's exactly how it was with Mark! We were on track to do all the standard Cape Peninsula activities until he recognized our sense of adventure and desire to avoid crowds. He then steered us to much more personally interesting hikes and activities. Thanks, Mark, for a great day on the Peninsula!

5.00Did two day tours with Mark - no trekking as fitness not up to it at the moment! Had a lovely time, it's wonderful to be taken around beautiful Cape Town with a local who is passionate about their city. We covered so much including all the must sees! However as a marine biologist it was also great to be with a fellow conservationist who could tell me all about all the flora and fauna and not just the usual bog standard tour blurb (he did cover all that too though if that's what you want!) And as a solo traveller it's brilliant to find someone willing to take you on a private, custom made tour at a reasonable price. Thanks to Mark for putting up with me and to Lindsay for organising everything.

5.00Mark provided us with four private tours during our visit to Cape Town. He took my husband on two different birding tours, a family day to Boulders Beach and Cape Point and a friends day to Hermanus. Wow wow wow! Mark’s knowledge is phenomenal, he know all about the flora and fauna and loves to tell you all about it! He never stops talking ( ha ha)! He picked us up from our hotel and either booked a restaurant for lunch or stopped to buy a picnic lunch. Water was provided during the day.

5.00We had the pleasure of doing an overnight hike with Justin starting at the Cape of Good Hope and finishing up at Smitswinkle bay. It was the most amazing day, his knowledge was second to none, and we managed to learn so much about the local Fauna and Flora in the most awesome place. We will definitely be doing more hikes with Justin on future trips to Capetown, and couldn’t recommend him enough!
