5.00Shuhei was beyond outstanding. He contacted us well in advance so that we could let him know what sites we were interested in seeing in order for him to be prepared. Not only did he make sure that we saw everything on our wish list, but he went out of his way to make sure that we experienced local sites, as well as off the beaten path sites, that we never would have thought of on our own...which turned out to be some of the most memorable highlights of our tour. The local restaurant that he took us to for lunch wasn't fancy, but the tempura shrimp that we had was delicious and cooked to perfection (and I am an extremely picky eater). The restaurant was plain and simple, but to be honest, I don't think we had any meal as delicious during the following 2 weeks that we were touring Japan. During our tour, we experienced subway transit and train transit multiple times. It blew us away to see how impeccably clean and how zero graffiti existed...anywhere! Shuhei was a fountain of information explaining anything and everything as we walked along. By the time the tour was over, we were ready to adopt him and his lovely wife (who we hadn't met but felt like we had). He's just very personable, easy to relate to, and genuinely out to please. His English is impeccable, so no worries about miscommunication. And, he even kept in touch with us afterward. The next day we experienced an earthquake followed by a tsunami alert while still in the hotel. The day before, he had mentioned how frequently they have earthquakes. I sent him a text asking if he had scheduled that just so that we had the opportunity to get the WHOLE Japan experience...LOL I would definitely, without hesitation, hire him again! (Best advice, make sure to wear super comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking involved...but well worth it)

A great introduction to Tokyo

5.00This all day Tokyo tour led by Shuhei was excellent. He texted a week in advance and tailored the trip to our interests. As this was our first trip to Tokyo, we let him tailor it for an overview tour. It included all subway transfers, lunch, temple donations, and some light snacks along the way. We hit the Tsujiki market, several temples, several beautiful city parks, shops, and the shibuya crossing. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. He taught us basic Japanese phrases and customs. Overall a great introduction tour which would highly recommend.

5.00We highly recommend this all day private tour! Tadashi and the driver made a great team. They were kind, knowledgeable, and they gave a nice overview of the sights. We travelled with family that included kids and a grandparent, so we appreciated how the trip was customizable to our needs. Tadashi thoughtfully added personal touches to the trip. Our kids enjoyed the markets with local food to taste and the mochi snacks. We were able to cover a lot in one day, and the Japanese lunch included was a highlight for the adults.

5.00I did this tour with my family, including an 11-year-old and 13-year-old. Our tour guide, Shuhei, contacted me a few days before our arrival in Japan to curate our tour. Shuhei was very informed and easy to talk with. We enjoyed our tour.

5.00Yuki was an amazing tour guide for our last stop of the cruise in Tokyo. It was our first time visiting Tokyo, and we came at the perfect time to see the cherry blossoms. Even though it was raining, we still had such a great time exploring the city and using the subway to get around. I had a few specific things I wanted to find, including Onitsuka Tiger shoes and Pokémon cards, and Yuki was incredibly helpful. He knew exactly where to go and made the experience easy and enjoyable. He was also so kind and thoughtful that he even picked up Pokémon cards for us and gifted them to us, which made the day even more memorable. Yuki was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable navigating such a large city for the first time. One day in Tokyo is definitely not enough, and we would absolutely use Yuki again the next time we come back!
